The bedroom was spacious, the bed comfortable, the linen wonderful, the breakfast good and the location for me (access to the ferry) 10/10. However, don't expect your host to remember you're coming. I arrived at 20 to 9 on a Sunday night. The accommodation was booked by work via email. They made it quite clear my arrival time, and this...

We visited in Jan 2017 booked only the day before as the weather was good. We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by Andrew, shown to our rooms (there were 4 of us and the dog) to say we were pleasantly suprised would be an understatement the rooms were super clean well appointed everything you could want and Andrew couldn't...

Had remembered that the hot chocolate was great but this time it was cold. Beer very good choice. Dogs allowed up to 6pm. Macaroni in a mug was awful water like. Cosy leather seats and high bar seats also.

I just stopped here for one night en route to the Orkneys, I arrived on a stormy evening but was greeted by an extremely friendly host who was very helpful and shown to a very cosy, warm room. Breakfast was also superb. Would happily stay here again, many thanks.

What a lovely welcoming couple Andrew and Linda are, nothing was too much for them when assisting in making your stay with them 'special'. The warm welcome, the well manicured gardens, the modern, clean, cosy and private rooms, the in room facilities and the home cooking all add up to - 'brilliance personified'. The views from the rooms overlook the...

This B&B is set in a beautiful area of North Scotland close to the ferry from Gill Bay to St. Margaret's Hope in the south of mainland Orkney and within 20 minutes from the ferry that goes from Scrabster to Kirkwall, Orkney. The rooms, including the bathroom, were of a good size and the bed very comfortable. We had use...

We stayed one night for catching the ferry to Orkney as part of our nc500 route. Fantastic location for the Ferrylink port (shorter crossing and cheaper than Scrabster). We didn't arrive until 7pm and phoned ahead to let Linda know, warm greeting from one of the dogs! We were in the twin room, large and spacious with a seating area....
