Business brought us from Calgary to Bow Island. Bow Island Lodge is right on the highway - north side when heading east. Check-in was quick and within minutes we were in our room. Queen Bed, cushioned arm chair, desk with actual office chair, flat screen tv, small fridge, microwave, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate as well as dishes and...

We were in Bow Island while my husband worked a few days. We used to live here, and being a small town, I didn't think the lodging would be that great. I was pleasantly surprised! The ground floor room was spotlessly clean, and super comfy beds. The floors are laminate, which made it seem cleaner. A complimentary breakfast is served...

Bow Island is a tiny town, with amazing people. But its hotels are nothing to write home about. Dingy, dirty, uncomfortable, forlorn and not worth the money. Just avoid at all costs. My advise is to stay in Medicine hat or Lethbridge, anywhere but here. If the weather is bad, its even worse.

The lodge was nothing fancy but it was clean and close to our family reunion. I think it was a mom & pop operation - they worked really hard to maintain the building. We booked two rooms and the owner placed us side-by-side with doors that opened between the rooms. It was great for visiting! We found the beds to...

While traveling in Southern Alberta on business my colleague and I decided to grab a room in Bow Island as it was the most central location for our travels. We got the number and phoned in while we were on the road. The booking was very easy, staff was very helpfull and more than accommodating. Upon arrival, we were met...

Michael was more than welcoming. No frills clean room. Left our window wide open for the fresh country air, really quiet even right beside the highway. Car right outside to load and unload, complimentary breakfast just a couple doors down prepared by owners who care.

Michael at the front desk checked us in and was very helpful and pleasant. Our room 104 was very comfortable and roomy with a desk and chair, leather loveseat and 1 queen bed. Other rooms had 2 queen beds but no loveseat. Nice LCD TV, fridge and microwave but no coffee maker. Probably because from 7 to 9 a.m. Michael...

Very old motel which has been re-done. Maintained and seemed quite clean. Lighting was inadequate. No internet access. Signage indicated free breakfast which consisted of one scrambled egg each with toast. Would not have bothered with eating had we known how little it was. We stayed here as it was the best motel in town compared to the other one...

“Lower floor rooms have been updated in the main building. Be aware that the train tracks do run fairly close by but we were not really disturbed or awakened by the train.”
