We were due to stay at Cashews for 3 days at the end of our trip around the Philippines, but sadly due to the travel restrictions implemented in Manila due to Covid-19 we were only able to stay one night. The staff, especially Quintin, were fantastic and managed to arrange us the last 2 spots on a charter flight off the island after 24 hours of us trying to find flights ourselves with no luck. Without her we would have been in real trouble and would not have been able to get out of Busuanga before the lockdown. Not only that, but Quintin arranged for us to be refunded for the 2 nights we didn’t stay and waived our bill! This was really above and beyond and demonstrated everything we hard heard about Filipino hospitality. Thank you Quintin! The resort itself is beautiful and quiet and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The pool was lovely and the common areas nice for hanging out in. We stayed in one of the tents and honestly it was one of the best rooms we’ve had in the past 3 weeks! The aircon was great and so quiet. Our tent was right on the beach with an amazing view over the water. The bed was huge and super comfy. There are kayaks and a paddle board freely available for use and a pontoon to paddle out to for snorkelling. The food was good and reasonably priced given that the resort is in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was a good size and tasty. Transfers are actually more reasonably priced than you might initially think - we were quoted 3000 pesos for a van from Coron town which is more expensive than Cashews offer. Another option is to take the public van to the airport (150php) and then have Cashews pick you up from the airport. All in all, highly recommend a stay here to get relax in a beautiful and quiet place.…
Although it’s a nice escape from Coron Town, the beach is terrible and the water u can’t really swim and the pool could be cleaner for the price that u pay. Plus, its really isolated. So when it’s time to get to the airport, be prepared to pay 1500php which is totally ripping off clients cause they know they have the monopole and u r stuck. I paid 500php for private transport from Coron to here and it’s 1h30 ride... Go figured. A total ripoff here... So consider other options and plus the food is so so and expensive. Again, they can take advantage since you have nowhere else to go. Not impressed.
We stayed here 2 nights the beginning of 2020. It’s a beautiful place and we went fishing 1 day with the resort. The reef nearby is not so beautiful, difficult to swim in. The nearby islands are nice to do by kayak, but full with plastic and garbage. The drive to the resort is not easy. Lots of up and down and few times the road is really bad, but it made the way down there very cool. Massage at the hotel was the best we had in the Philippines. Friendly staff!
Even if the heaven manifest itself on earth, it would not look half as good as Coron. The best trip I had in entire life. During the vacation, i stayed here. The magic that was upon on me by Coron made everything here seem awesome. So was the case at this resort. Great experience indeed.
Was told would not be charged, tried to hold room, when cancelling a mere 10 minutes later I was already charged and out for monies for more nights than I even intested to stay. The hotel refused to refund said monies even though I was told at the outset I would not be charged.
