We were given a very warm welcome despite arriving late in the evening, nothing was too much trouble!! We were shown our room which was well equipped with coffee making facilities and provision of chairs, a huge plus for me an arthritic hip sufferer!! The guest lounge was bright and full of cheer and provided a pleasant end to a...

A warm welcome, an apology for a twin rather than a double room. Good facilities, good shared bathroom and a good breakfast in the morning. The position is very convenient for the ferry terminal , just 2 minutes away, in this quiet village in South Uist

We stayed here for 3 nights and were sorry to leave. Mary and Steve work hard to ensure guests feel looked after. Wireless Cottage is less than five minutes walk from the Lochboisdale ferry terminal, set back slightly from the road in beautifully maintained gardens. When we arrived we were shown our room (we had the twin at the back)...

We arrived after a day cycling on the Hebrides to a very warm welcome with tea and cake! The Wireless Cottage is very comfy and our hosts, Mary and Steve, very friendly - not forgetting Skoda the dog coming in for a rub! We missed breakfast unfortunately due to the early ferry, but having eyed up the menu I think...

We arrived abruptly at Wireless Cottage an evening early (after a pretty horrendous sea voyage) - fortunately Mary and Steve could accommodate us. They are a lovely couple and excellent, generous hosts. Lochboisdale is tiny, but the warmth of the locals is expansive and Wireless Cottage is a great base from which to explore. The bathroom can get a bit...

The weather was not at its best for our visit to South Uist but not too bad either so having a place that we could feel at home in was great for making the most of our time. It was easy to meet our fellow guests too, which made for a good exchange of information. My only quibble was that...

As the title says, this is without doubt the friendliest B&B that we have ever stayed it - we felt as though we were staying with family or close friends, not that we were mere paying customers. Mary and Steve are superb hosts, and nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed for almost a fortnight and were offered...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Mary and Steve. My family had rented both rooms and had the place to ourselves. The rooms were very large and the beds were very comfortable. Mary was happy was to give us ideas of things to see and places to go. Since we were in the Outer Hebrides to track our family history,...

Don't bother with the stuffy old nearby hotels. Mary and Steve are simply great. They are authentic, warm, and helpful. Four stars for the clean and friendly lodging--dog lovers will give it five stars ...
