Have just read review ( Poor service went elsewhere ),I would just like to add that I was stood at the bar when this man was refused a tab. His reference to curt bar staff is unfounded, both men behind the bar were very polite and jovial and humorous, ( I found out that they were called Peter and Mark....

Visited with friends who had booked online and they were stopping overnight. This used to be a very warm and welcoming family run establishment in one of the most beautiful villages in the world in my opinion. The food was also very good and the staff were happy. Now it has been refurbished at great cost but the charm and...

We arrived to what is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. The food looked very good and the bar has a wide selection of ales. We joined a relatively quiet bar to be served by the younger of the two bar staff. He was curt and clipped and didn't have the time for please and thank you. We asked...

This is the quickest review I've ever posted due to the fact the much friendlier, local pub with better ale choices happened to be next door. My wife and I decided to come for a walk/meander around grassington on good friday and as it had turned midday I thought a nice country pint was in order. Needless to say the...

The attractive stone façade of The Devonshire disguises the charmless corporate culture that greets you once you cross the threshold. The bean counters at the head office of this pub company seem to be on some sort of suicidal cost cutting mission resulting in over stretched staff, poor morale and a decidedly mediocre customer experience. It starts with checking in....

Four of us spent two evenings at the Devonshire where we enjoyed great food. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the young girl who waited on our table on the second night. One tiny criticism - the menu just said, 'fish and chips'. As I have a very severe allergy to one type of fish, it would have been...

Made a reservation on the website for the evening a few days earlier. When we arrived they had no record of it but still managed to fit us in. Started with the pea soup which was amazing. The best I've ever had. For main we had a mixed grill and chicken with a white wine sauce. It was really tasty....

Thank you for joining us recently. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Grassington is indeed a lovely little village with quaint little shops and lots of places to visit and walk. The breakfast menu has recently been changed so it lovely that you commented on this and found it to your liking. Regards Jayne
