The Godolphin hotel comes highly recommended for its impeccable cleanliness and comfortable, spacious rooms that boast breathtaking views, according to guests' accounts. The warm ambiance, coupled with the attentive service, enhances the overall welcoming atmosphere. Nestled in a picturesque location, the hotel is a stone's throw from local attractions, which is a significant draw for many.
While the amenities, including the dog-friendly policy, are often lauded, opinions on value diverge, with some guests finding the dining options costly. Despite occasional reports of slow service, the hotel's reputation remains largely positive.

We were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary and chose to visit St Michael's Mount and the surrounding area. The hotel is conveniently positioned opposite the island and has free designated car parking for hotel guests too. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and much appreciated a complimentary drink on the outside terrace as we soaked up the great views!
Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the cooked breakfast was absolutely delicious, all with a great view across to St Michael's Mount as we ate.
We appreciated the very helpful and friendly staff during our stay, and we look forward to staying at the Godolphin hotel again sometime.
Highly recommended!

Room Tip:Â If possible choose a room with a sea view of Saint Michael's Mount. It is sublime.

Our first time at the Godolphin restaurant & what a view for a romantic Valentine's lunch, even the sun came out! We both thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere & the lovely staff who made us feel very welcome We had the fish & chips which was cooked well the fish was succulent & not over cooked We did book Valentine's evening dinner, but the menu was changed at short notice (which we were not Informed off) So we decided to book for lunch ,after checking the menus plus we had a wonderful view as the tide was going out you almost felt you could touch the castle (which I don't think you would have had in the evening) We walk our dogs on the beach most days so this location is very special to us
We both look forward to returning again & maybe try the terrace on a sunny day in crabby's It was also lovely to see four legged members of the family were welcome everywhere We will bring our pup in when he has learnt some more table manners! I think the only negative was it would have been nice to have had more of a selection of local seafood for example crab & oysters also available on a lunch time but that's just our preference & maybe some thought given to the couple's on a Valentine's lunch to make it special for them as well We look forward to our next visit

As we live nearby both myself and my daughter decided to take my husband out for lunch yesterday at Godolphin hotel for a treat. We were so looking forward to having a nice meal looking out onto St Micheals mount, but alas this was not the case. Stood waiting to be seated as one waitress stood further up behind the bar and just ignored us and the other who said some one will come to sit us down after finishing what she was doing i.e. cleaning glasses then said after seeing us still standing came around to then sit us down, may I say they were not many in restaurant so they were not busy just unattentive, maybe we should have had some inside to what our experience would be at this stage and we should have left at this point, but we sat down. Myself and my daughters starters were disappointing, I had hard over cooked chilli shrimps and my daughter had a hard bao bun, which was suppost to be light and fluffy. Did mention this to the waitress but we were being polite and wanted my husband to enjoy the experience of dining at this hotel. Our main courses arrived and alas my daughters steak was looking old, grey and gelatinous so understandable she was not going to venture into eating this and my fish cutting through the batter there was an immediate smell of ammonia, which meant the fish was certasinly not fresh. So we did call the waitress and she did apologise and replaced these two dishes. Although at this point we were wary of what was served and my second fish also smelled but not as strong as the first of ammonia, which I picked at and left. My daughter also just picked at her steak and the waiter saw her trying to hack through the steak and offered her a repacement steak knife saying the one she had may have had a blunt blade. Trying to be positive and wanting my husband to enjoy the experience of sitting in a nice hotel over looking St Micheals mount, we just endured the dining experience. I paid over £145+ for the experience and to be honest I may have well flushed this money down the toilet. I can only say who ever cooked our meals had no sense of seeing or smelling what they were putting in front of their diners and needed to be oused out of a kitchen, shame on you, who ever you were. You spoiled our dining experience and would we return, fair to say NO we will not. May I also comment, a diner next to us also had fish just before we came away and as soon as he cut into it, yes you can guess, a distinct smell of ammonia drifted over to our table, but he still continued to eat this and we said nothing, which I felt bad about. Good job it was not any shellfish as we all certaining would be very ill. I was a fish monger and still do work with fish, so to see a Cornish hotel provide such poor quality of food, it is unforgivable, shame on you.

This hotel was a lovely surprise, right on the beach with the water lapping at the retaining wall below our room at high tide. A beautiful view of St Michael's mount which is lit up at night. The service was great. We were escorted to our room at check in which was large, clean and well decorated with a table and chairs right in front of the window to take in the view. Parking was right next door and included until 2pm the next day but it was not undercover. The restaurant was buzzing and we were provided a drink voucher. We had room service for dinner which was delivered promptly and very good. The next morning, breakfast was included and a table was reserved for the guests staying at the hotel by the windows. The location was very good as you literally walk out the door and across the causeway to view the Mount. It was also a close drive to Minack theatre and Lands End. I would highly recommend a stay here, especially in one of the rooms facing the Mount.

This was our third time staying here. We love it, staff, food and rooms are amazing. We took our dog Charlie, who was spoilt rotten. We chose to stay in a beach view room, which was worth every penny, to be able to sit and watch the world go by was so beautiful. Already booked to stay again in March.

Promised so much but ended in disappointment. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room lovely. However if you stay here, eat somewhere else, I had the steak from special and my wife had the lobster, both poor in fact my steak was really poor. Service was so slow - 1 hour 15 before we saw food and then only because we chased it up. Also items added to the bill that we didn’t receive- we cancelled bread (starter) because we didn’t get it before the meal and were told because it was served with dinner?? But still charged. At lunch we had cheese sharing platter, which was good but the beer took so long I had to ask 2 waiting staff for it - so they charged me twice. Real shame and perhaps they don’t care because the have a great location and captive audience.

We have been before 3 years ago. This time round i booked but could not get a sea view room I wanted room 5 , so was going to to get a town view room. However a week ago !! We got a phone call offering a room change "Upgrade" to a seaview room due to a cancellation at a cost of a £100. On arrival you could see a vast change for the better new owners new decor etc. The room change was the WOW factor for my wife room 10 big room and a bay window with an excellent view all round overlooking the Mount for our 2 night stay. Room 5 offers you a balcony but smaller room my choice. Dinner both nights were excellent , We are NOT Dog owners but there was both nights dogs which were no way not a problem any shape or form. Same with Breakfast dogs present NO ISSUES food excellent with the best view to die for watching boats and the Mount in the distance from the large folding door type windows. ALL staff friendly helpful from start to finish. Easy to get to no winding Cornish country lanes Parking easy to get to close to the hotel. Just an all round fantastic stay ...

We stayed in Marazion for one night in April 2023 so we could see St. Michael's Mount. We picked the Godolphin because the views looked nice and I'm so glad we did. Parking was very easy and only a few steps away from the hotel. Check-in was great as the staff were lovely. They realized we were in a road-facing room and offered us a sea-facing room at no additional cost. Then they said they had one of their best rooms available if we wanted to upgrade (~$30) and we said "sure, why not" and I don't regret it one bit because we had a picturesque view of the castle and a beautiful window seat to watch the tide got in and out. The rooms are extremely comfortable with lovely touches. It felt beachy but sophisticated! We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The portions are generous so come hungry! The staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful time overall!

The Godolphin is a fantastic hotel. Can't thank Pets in Pyjamas enough for finding it for us. The hotel is perfectly situated in the A1 position facing St Michaels Mount in Marazion. From the moment we arrived , the staff was so welcoming and this continued throughout the stay, This is a proper dog - friendly hotel and this is not lip service!!! Dogs are welcome thoughout the hotel and in the restaurant and on the beach. This makes you feel so relaxed. Our romm St Michaels was nothing less than spectacularwith direct views of the mount and the beach, you could sit relaxing for hours. The beach is dog friendly but not the stupidly run National trust island which has now banned dogs so guess what they lost out on our £30, we enjoyed the views for free. The room was spacious with luxury shower and bathroom. It just had everything you could want even a radio & huge television. Tea & coffee making with nespresso machine fab.Breakfasts are amazing and lunches and dinner are high quality. You will find this a haven that you will adore. The hotel provides reserved guest parking in the car park next to the hotel and we were able to come and go with no issues and its free for guests. Wifi was great throughout the buildings and rooms. We will definately return. Highly recommended
