The Cott is an old thatched long house and a wonderful pub and restaurant with very pretty en suite bedrooms. The food is very good as they only employ 1st class chefs. The bar is well stocked with real ales and excellent wines. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. They also have an outdoor kitchen and dining area...

We had booked a table for Sunday Lunch which was ready and waiting for us. Had to wait a little too long really to be served at a quite bar as only one person serving. Although to be fair was acknowledged. We were served by a very polite and attentive waiter. The meal came .Adequate portion of meat but potatoes...

This was our first visit to the Cott Inn and we expected it to be ok but perhaps mainly orientated to the many passing tourists in the Dartington / Totnes area. We were delighted to be proved wrong. Arriving without a reservation (but with a dog), we received an extremely warm welcome. We were soon seated in the bar area...

An interesting menu in a well maintained pub, full of character. The venison burger was gigantic and tasty. I'm never sure how to eat such s thick burger ..... great fries and sides. Impressive presentation by average pub standards. My other half enjoyed the lamb chops with crushed potatoes and celeriac purée. Our pudding order was forgotten but it didn't...

This is a great little pub with huge charm and friendly staff that welcome you into a relaxing stay. The rooms are over the bar and restaurant but it was not rowdy when I stayed and it all went very quiet at a reasonable time. So getting a good sleep in a comfortable clean bed was no problem. The staff...

This was a post wedding get together (of 11) as family from America wanted to have a traditional Sunday roast, the Cott Inn certainly did not disappoint, the service was great, one of our party really wanted fish and chips and this request was kindly accommodated. The quality of the food was excellent and there was plenty of vegetables and...

Discovered this lovely pub over 10 years ago by accident when touring around Devon and fell in love with it - this is a true old British pub that is impossible to replicate by the big brewers and the local beers served are excellent Highly recommeded

We stayed here for two nights in August 2016. Loved it. Small but adequate comfortable en-suite room on the first floor of this old thatched building. Really friendly staff; excellent breakfast; evening meals and drinks in the bar. Folk evening whilst we were there. Highly recommended.

We were in the area for a wedding but we're already looking for an excuse to go back. The staff were all so friendly and Anton's warm welcome was just what we needed after a very long journey. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast (which was included in the price) was good with plenty of options - from...

We visited on a Wednesday evening. The car park was packed but we were able to park when other people had gone. The menu is good, especially the "specials" board. However, it was disappointing to be told that on the obviously pre-printed and standard summer menu card, the vegetarian dish was no longer available. The staff knew about this and...
