Travellers' Choice
Hotel Swiss Moraira is located in a real paradise on Costa Blanca: Moraira is the fishing port of Teulada town , located between Valencia and Alicante. The area offers to visitors extensive green areas, eight kilometres of coastline with three magnificent beaches of sand, which alternate with attractive and tiny rocky coves, a wide range of outdoor activities, water sports, gastronomic varieties, popular festivals and a tour accross the streets with small craft shops and street markets. The Hotel Swiss has the merit and the challenge of being a hotel unique in its class, different from others along the Mediterranean coasts: Exotic colonial style, with tropical garden pool, cosy and classical indoors, ample rooms with private terraces, public lounge to enjoy a drink or a quick sandwich or tapa.. Moraira is the fishing port of Teulada, located on the coastline of Alicante. That is the place where this intimate hotel with exotic style stands, surrounded by nature and where you will enjoy quietness and an exquisite service taking care of every last detail to make your stay unforgettable. The hotel has 36 rooms, every one with a different touch and most of them with views to our appealing swimming-pool with a Chill-Lounge area.

Spa looked lovely on the website. Sauna wasn't working properly and one of the showers were. One toilet was backed up and other had no toilet seat on it. Spa was so dark had to use torch on our phones. Also a little strange to have a double bed in there

The hotel itself is very nice set around a nice pool complex. The issue I had with the hotel was lack of attention to detail. We booked in for a two night stay whilst visiting friends in the area. After checking in we found the room safe didn't work, I asked at reception and after trying to fix it he said he couldn't repair it but gave me the master key to use which was a solution for the first night. In the morning I took the key back and was told it would be fixed that morning. As you can guess it wasn't, despite many promises nothing happened and we used the master key for the duration of our stay. Breakfast on the first day was in allocated slots to reduce the amount of people in the restaurant at any one time which was a good thing. The breakfast spread was very good with lovely fruits and fresh produce available. The issue was the cooked buffet was cold, it was in the normal stainless steel severs to keep food warm but its was cold. I pointed this out to the staff, who seemed genuinely concerned, checked plugs etc. Day 2, we arrived just after the restaurant opened and guess what, cold buffet again. Once can be a accident, two days running is lack of attention to detail. The WiFi when it worked was good but it failed numerous times during our two day stay, this was especially an issue as vodafone has very poor coverage in this area. There were a few other issues during our stay but the underlying theme seemed to be a lack of concern and attention to detail, this was a shame as the hotel itself was nice and could be a great place to stay.

We came here in July. It was to be a 2 night luxury stay as a stop-over. I booked through Reserving.com and paid fully for 2 nights. I had a call from Reserving.com later to say it wasn't now available. Not their fault, Swiss Moraira failed to take it off their availability. So I gad the stress of worrying about the refund. I phoned the hotel direct and they confirmed this. But they said they could accommodate us for 1 night. So although I still hadn't received my refund from Reserving.com., looked forward to experiencing a wonderful stay. We arrived a little early, had a good welcome and was told we could enjoy the pool while we waited for our room. All good so far. The pool area is beautiful, a real oasis. We loved it. Our room became ready. It wasn't the room I had originally booked but was spacious. I had originally booked a room with a jacuzzi on the patio. BUT, whilst unpacking, saw something sparkle on the floor. On inspection, I found 5 pieces of glass, probably a glass had been knocked of the bedside table. I, of course looked very carefully in order to pick up all the pieces (we had our 2 little dogs with us) so looked under the bed to see if any had fallen under there. No glass there but I did see that it hadn't been cleaned under the bed. And this in the Covid 19 environment. More disappointment to come, and this the worst, for what is a luxury stay without a fantastic dinner. After we sat down we perused the menu for about 10 mins and made our choices. The head waiter came up to us in a flustered demeanour, handing us an A5 piece of paper saying, we couldn't choose from the main menu because he had just been told the chef hadn't turned up (what!!? this is a 4* hotel!!!) and we'd have to choose off the simple 2 choices for each course, as the assistant chef didn't know how to cook everything on the a la carte. Unbelievable, more Fawlty Towers, less luxury hotel. My husband said that we didn't like anything on the short menu and for him to cook our choices. I think it was a mistake, each course was either lacking or awful. On checkout, even though I had an inclusive of dinner rate, they wanted to charge me over 70 euros extra. The manager and receptionist juggled the bill and in the end gave me a 10% discount. By this time, nearly 1000 euros had gone from my bank account. I was stressed, needed to get on our way. On our return, and reflecting, felt that the 10% didn't reflect our poor experience. I sent an email saying as much, they replied asking for my expectations. On account of all our problems I suggested a further 40% off. I said if ever I have any problems, that if they are solved then I would never comment negatively. However, I have not been responded to since. Everything stated here is a true account. Hence, we will not be returning.

Dear Sue p, I thank you for reminding us the importance of every detail in hosting our guests. In our previous talks after you left I truly apologized and offered you to stay with us on a privileged condition. I am really sorry that you declined our offer. As soon as any client let us know any inconvenience in their experience, we put a remedy on it as fast as possible, being that a matter of minutes. We guarantee a joyful stay, as our guests satisfaction is our only credit. Please, once again, excuse that piece of glass that you found. We have increased our cleanliness and double check all our rooms precisely. We need to avoid any situation. I am sorry to hear that the discount we made to you was not enough for your total satisfaction. Nonetheless, we are sure that in a future visit we can restore your trust in us, like practically all of our clients. Once again, you and your pets are welcome at the Swiss Hotel. Hope to see you again soon. Thank you for helping us improve our service.

Stayed for two nights and must say this was a great hotel. Good staff, superb bedroom, and a lovely breakfast. There’s a pool area which is like a mini oasis and a lovely restaurant. The bar is also 24 hour ! The locations proves to be very tranquil. Loads of parking too. Would recommend.
