I've been visiting Copamarina for 9 years, for professional purposes. Although rooms need an upgrade and fumigation, the outdoors atmosphere is very relaxing and food is delicious. The service we receive is always amazing and they make us feel welcomed. Staff is really friendly and helpful, and cares about your experience. Luis Tortilla service is always above average! He always pleases our tastes at the restaurant! A big thanks to Luis, Daniel, Bárbara and Angélica for your excellent service, we appreciate it!

This is our third visit to The Copamarina and, as always, we were welcomed like old friends. The grounds are immaculate, the room was comfortable, and if you want to rest and relax, you can always find a quiet spot Everyone at the resort is friendly and helpful, but a special mention is necessary for the staff at the restaurant. Chef Luis Tortilla took special care of us and made sure we were well fed and happy (we were!). Nelson, our waiter, was wonderful, as was the rest of the staff—Julia, Chef Danny, and Michael Cabrera. Thank you to everyone for making this another memorable visit—we will see you again!

We come here every year for a work retreat and love this place. It’s a perfect set up to do small group activities in an idyllic location. In addition to the small conference/meeting room we were able to make use of the great outdoor areas. This year there was some construction occurring in the lobby area but not much noise and the staff, particularly the catering team of Luis, Barbara, and others did a great job! Even having to deal with a mini rainstorm in the middle of our beautiful outside dinner. Look forward to coming back next time.

Our stay was from Friday to Monday (Memorial weekend) 1- From Friday to Monday we were bathing in a clogged shower (see picture). It was notified on two occasions (one by us and the second time by housekeeping) and the problem was not solved. Nobody had the courtesy to offer us to move to another room. 2- Noise problems: there was a group of people late at night in the surroundings of building 3, we called and they told us that they were going to send security because they already had several calls with the complaint. Do they have to wait until there are several complaints to react? Another night, the guests next door were talking loudly, we also called and they did not solve the problem, they kept talking very loud (11pm to 2am approx) . All situations were notified on time. Even at the time of check out I asked to speak with a manager and they told me that there was no manager available that day but that they would provide all the information, I don't know if they have done it... 3- My little girl (4y/o), got hit with an iron that was exposed on the bed (see picture). Again, we called, they moved the mattress and it was a very temporary solution, in a few hours, it was exposed again. 4- Pools are good, the gardens are well kept, and the staff is friendly. 5- Food is pricey, but the restaurant staff is nice. 6- Be prepared for mosquitoes (we were). Definitely, the hotel admin needs to improve the way they manage these situations in order to keep guests comfortable. At the end of the day, what guests want on their vacation is to enjoy better comforts and facilities than in his own home. This experience, we definitely did not have it.

Our family enjoys Copa Marina very much. We had stayed here a few times. It is a beautiful resort. With many great amenities to choose from. It is such a relaxing experience. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. Which is great with kids. I sleep like a baby in beds. The Alexandra restaurant is a must to eat. Make reservations. The food is great. The regular restaurant is also great for breakfast and lunch. Great selection of different delicious type of foods for the whole entire family. The service and hospitality is on point. The staff is friendly and they make sure you’re experience is top notch. I highly recommend coming to Copa Marina when you visit PR. It is one of a kind resort. SJ can not give you.

Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa… it’s our favorite getaway in Puerto Rico… Have been visiting this place and staying here at least twice a year for the past 5 years. Hospitality at it’s best… Southwest of PR a Paradise within a Paradise. The staff is very attentive and friendly and accommodating to our request and needs. The Palmas Cafe Staff is superb… Luis & Michael go above and beyond always to satisfy our appetite. Kelsie & Lourdes, what can I say… Thank for always being available to answer questions and offer support. Can’t wait to see all again in December with the entire Family!t

The Copamarina is a lovely little hotel in Guanica.Rooms are comfortable, grounds are beautiful, and facilities like the spa were fantastic.Everything was clean and well cared for.My lower ratings unfortunately are mainly for some of the service I received. Now it is clear that it is NOT the fault of employees but definitely seems to be a lack of management and support. Every employee was lovely yet seemed that there was a lack of motivation or training to really bring the service to the next level. Things such as when I was in the Rest Alexandra on Saturday night and it was before the time they opened yet I was hungry so I decided to go next door. I told the employee “oh don’t worry I’ll just try it tomorrow night.” Found out the next day the restaurant was closed on Sunday night. Picky right? By itself no huge deal but seems like she should have said “oh I’m so sorry we are closed tomorrow.” The first night I sat in a lovely bench seat with cushions and live music. The chicken was pretty good although definitely pre cooked and maybe heated up which is fine but suffered a bit in the process. Creme brûlée was excellent. Service was very good. By the pool service was almost great. I ordered a side salad with my fish sandwich. When it arrived it was in a to go container and plastic bag, I guess that’s cool for poolside but no silverware. So I asked for the silverware which came with one paper napkin. She brought it over but then after she left I noticed the salad didn’t have any dressing. The silverware package only had one napkin so I didn’t really end up eating the salad and rinsed my sticky fingers off in the pool. The fish seemed fresh but was fried so that the skin was super tough. But the bread was super yummy, as was the sauce and the thinly sliced pickles were a great touch. Overall really yummy. They had local craft beer that was super cold so overall good. Just a couple extra napkins and some salad dressing would have brought it to a 10. I went for an early dinner at Las Palmas and was seated. Sat for a good ten minutes before I called a waiter over. He said oh well I’m not your server but I can take your order. He was very nice. Then a waitress delivered my food so after that I called her over to order dessert thinking she maybe my waitress and she then called him over. So again, not terrible but just a bit off. Soup was a little weird and topped with a cheap processed cheese but salad dressing was super yummy and strawberries on salad were incredible. Sorbets were the best thing I had during the stay. Absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was nice. If they have over 100 people staying in the hotel they have a buffet as opposed to the full menu however I was told I could order off the full menu if I liked. During breakfast there seemed to be more management and support/oversight for the staff. Again I had to flag down my server a couple times but it was very busy and he was very kind. The buffet was ok. I’m not a huge fan but the fresh fruit was great and French toast pretty good.I ordered a latte and it wasn’t great. Dinner on my last night(when I found out Alexandra was closed) was at the bar at las Palmas. They advertise a drink with bourbon and I asked what bourbon they had. The bartender showed me the makers mark but I told him it was whiskey.I had an ipa instead. It was cold and served in a cold glass. When my food arrived my appetizer and main dish came out at the same time. The mussels were in sauce that had a film on it so maybe it was sitting there under the light for a while and they weren’t good at all. The tofu dish was strange, tofu in tomato sauce and again cheap processed cheese, super oily cilantro rice and veggies which were ok. Brownie with coffee ice cream and a baileys were wonderful. Spa was five stars. Can’t recommend the service and facilities more for the spa. Super motivated staff and lovely service.Oh! And no filtered water!!!! Only small bottles. For an “eco friendly” hotel they definitely should have that available. With some more attention from management this place could be great.

The experience I had in NiSpa was fenomenal. The Karey “Green Sea Turtle”Body Treatment performed by my massage therapist, Magdalena, was amazing, relaxing and therapeutic. Excellent customer service and attendence from all the team members. This experience made my birthday weekend memorable.

We loved this resort. Perfect for a tranquil getaway. Grounds are spectacular. Both dining rooms were fine. Staff at every level well trained and professional. The pools were perfect for us (we do laps every day). The rooms are nicely appointed. TW service was good, both English and Spanish. I wish they had one movie channel, e.g. HBO, offered. Wifi was great all over the property, so streaming movies on your device worked. 5G phone service usually. Great front desk staff. Chef in the Alexander restaurant is outstanding. On the down side, the road in from 116 is not for the faint of heart. There's nothing at all we could find in Guanica. Yauco has the shopping, just a few miles away. The spa is excellent, but way overpriced. The 300 dollar 50 min massage for two had about 100 added to it in "service fees" and that doesn't all go to massuese, so you have to add more. So we only went once. Many of the rooms have adjoining doors, so if you want quiet, tell them ahead of time you want one of the rooms without a door. We would recommend the second floor of building three for the best location. You can swim in the ocean, but there's no shore snorkeling. We did the Gilligan's island snorkel thing, and saw some good life. The best underwater sites are at the base of the mangroves as you go in the water. The Hobicat was terrific. Great place for wind. Reasonably priced.
