This plantation house has a certain amount of character but the rooms are small and the windows are frosted and permanently locked which in itself gives a cell-like feeling. On the positive side, the price was good, the food, both breakfast and dinner served on the patio was good. Unable to serve wine because of the church across the road???...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The service at the front desk and the restaurant was very good. The room was small, but for the price, we had a great value! The beds were very nice, but a little too soft for our taste. The room was very clean and included a refrigerator. After our...

A beautiful property with a ton of potential, the Parador 1929 just falls a bit short. Our room (215) overlooking the pool was quiet and clean; as another reviewer described "adequate" but the one and only window was locked shut ~ in a cement building, it felt claustrophobic ~ and we missed the breezes we would otherwise have enjoyed. The...

Stayed two nights in at the Hotel Parador Guanica 1929. It is located a short drive from fast food restaurants and has its own restaurant. The location was lovely. It is right on the water although there was no beach, only a pier. The pool was very nice. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Rooms are basic but adequate and the...

After carefully reading the posted reviews I was rather concern about booking this Parador. However, I did because it was less than a mile from family. I reserved 2 rooms. Upon check in they could only locate one reservation. Minutes later they were able to locate the other. That was not a good beginning. Rooms were small, windows do not...

The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. However, the food at the restaurant was sub-par at best, and there was NO BOOZE on the premise! After a long day, that was the worst news we could have heard.... The a/c unit had one temperature (freezing), and the there was no hot water...

If you command a premium price for a stay at a hotel you should have Hot Water available at anytime.Their "eco-friendly- self sustainability solar water heater system only gives you hot-water as long as the sun is out. Otherwise get ready for a cold shower if you get back to the hotel late at night and water pressure is another...

We spent a whole weekend at this place and it was wonderful. It's pretty well kept; the staff is super friendly. Food is nothing to die for. Average puertorrican food. And I'm saying it on a positive way. What I mean is that it's tasteful but don't expect gourmet food. This is not a Ritz Carlton. It's a "parador"; a...

While the concept is different the place was neat, well located, rooms where big and clean. The pool was close by from my room and close to the restaurant and front desk couldn't complain. The food was great in the restaurant. There is like a small park at the other side of the hotel, great for kids to my daughter...

I stayed in the hotel from 8-16 to 08-18-2013 and was accommodated in room 109 that is next to the restaurant. I heard every noise made in the restaurant kitchen, including the music the staff was hearing. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work and I had trouble plugging the hair dryer in another outlet. I took a...
