What a most beautiful place to spend our 3rd wedding anniversary. The B&B is a small converted barn ('The Bothy') separated from the main house with 1 bedroom, a bathroom and a small kitchen overlooking the Shropshire Hills. The Bothy is decorated with local artists work and is well equipped with the essentials. It makes a great base to explore the surrounding area, in a very peaceful location and a romantic setting. Our hosts (Tim & Mary) were extremely helpful with their recommendations of sightseeing and eating places. Each morning they provided us with a locally sourced breakfast brought to us in an array of baskets. We would certainly look to stay again.

The White Cottage, and more particularly their stone barn "The Bothy", is the perfect romantic hideaway in the south Shropshire Hills.

Perched on a hillside overlooking unspoiled, rolling countryside, The Bothy is small but perfectly formed. Decorated and run by Mary and Tim, it's an unrivaled exhibition of good taste. Every detail is taken care of: from under floor heating and enormous, firm bed to sculptures and original artwork by Tim and his family.

There's plenty to see and do nearby, with Offa's Dyke, Clun and Bishops Castle all a few miles away. That's not the point though. From the moment you arrive you'll sink into the place, drink in the details with a glass of red wine, shut the curtains and curl up together in a unique, moorishly loved space just for two.

This is the first time I've ever written an on-line review - but I wanted to tell the world about the most fantastic Bed and Breakfast ever!
My husband and I stayed last week.
The Bothy is completely self-contained in the most breathtakingly beautiful location. The accommodation consists of a double bedroom and modern bathroom with walk-in shower. It has a fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher!) a sitting area and a lovely terrace to chill out on and enjoy the views. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was all home-made and absolutely delicious.
Mary and Tim were the perfect hosts - warm, welcoming and discrete.
This place was such a good find and was incredibly good value for money. We're definitely going to stay for longer next time.

This is quite simply the best B&B that I have ever stayed in. The setting is beautiful, the Bothy a wonderful blend of comfort and tranquillity. The accommodation offers so much more than is typical, with its own kitchen, sitting area and patio. In addition, the decoration is stunning with lots of fabulous artwork. But perhaps most importantly, Mary and Tim are the most welcoming and generous hosts.
