Location lovely but some stark omissions in accommodation and service. No snack service offered ...eat in restaurant at set times or find food elsewhere. Room tired and didn't have anything more in kitchen than fridge ,kettle and 2 cups , 2 teaspoons ..not even bowls, plates or knives . Overpriced for what's on offer. Come on Copthorne , get this...

Omapere is rather remote on the West coast of North NZ and this is basic motel accommodation. There maybe newer rooms but these were not offered. Our room was clean and comfortable but clearly old and becoming tired. There are no screens on windows which means insects and mosquitoes find their way in. There is not Airconditioning as an alternative...

We stayed in a one bedroom superior room on the ground floor, room 30. The location was excellent. We stayed here for my friends wedding. It rained the majority of the time unfortunately but it was stunning. I room was 3 star, a bit tired. The bed was soft and linen was not 100% cotton. The thin polyester duvet was...

We booked for dinner as a very special occasion and asked if we could have a table that looked out over the magic Hokianga Harbour an the huge sand dunes at the harbour mouth. The meal was superb - top quality, beautifully presented and world class. The table we requested was perfect with the view we were hoping for. The...

If you are confused about the variance in the reviews for this hotel (swinging from 5 - 5 to 1 or 2 out of 5) that will be because there are some rooms in a new extension to the hotel that are fresh and modern. There is no way that this is a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in...

What to say, great room, really great view, excellent service. Everything from the time we arrived until we left was really very well done, with the exception of the rather dull weather. If the weather had been good we would have stayed, maybe forever.

The 'Standard ' Room was certainly standard. Not even a microwave. They want everyone to eat in the restaurant. We had supplies for a meal as we were going on a 6pm "Footprints" tour but there were no cooking facilities. The only option was an early dinner in the restaurant that had to be rushed through and was not good...

We stayed as part of a large group. Speaking for us only, we found the rooms quite dirty, tidy but not clean, freezer had not clean and bathroom needed some love and the rooms smelt a bit. There was also no air conditioning. The place needs a revamp and tidy up and I think they have started as the hammering...

Thank you for your review. Huge apologies for not having your choice of wines available. The wine list is current, apart from having a particularly busy couple of days prior to your arrival, we have no excuse. I am pleased to say that this has been rectified. We have extremely exciting developments here with new rooms been built. We do...

We stayed two nights in a downstairs unit with a ranchslider across the grass to the sea and jetty. The view was superb. Omapere is a special place and the service we received here was equally special. The staff were so warm and pleasant and always gave a friendly smile. Our unit was spotlessly clean, tidy, and convenient. The King...
