Run with pride by the friendly and good-natured Earl, the Elianse Tourist Motel is extremely well maintained, roomy, close to town, and comes complete with a kitchenette and shared free laundry (washer, dryer, and clothesline). It was a short walk to the local rec center where we worked out for a small daily fee, and we were able to bike...

As other reviewers have noted, the rooms here are really big and immaculate. Earl is a pleasant host. The furniture and fixtures are very basic but it's a budget motel. Everything is in good working order and super clean and tidy. Our one criticism is the lack of wifi, especially since the majority of the other motels in the area...

Earl was the perfect host, nothing to much trouble. When we booked only one night available but when we arrived he was able to accommodate a second night. large very clean comfortable quiet room. No restaurants within easy walking distance but being a motel we drove to good restaurants in the town centre. Definitely I would stay here again. Chocolates were...

We had a llovely three nights here. Right from the word go when owners shifted us to a room with a larger bed for my husbands size, to the chocolates on the bed on arrival to friendly farewell when we left our stay was wonderful. Although two kilometres from the town this was not a hindrance to us with our...

We stayed in the Motel for 4 nights. The room was very large and in a good condition. The interiour was a little old fashioned, but tidy. The host Earl is very friendly and conciderate. We paid 100 NZ$ per night, an acceptable price for this accomodation.

Only 4 motel rooms so little noise from people coming & going. We had a room comprising a single & a double bed, dinng area & sofa, with plenty...

I found this motel in a NZ Motel touring guide. It is centrally located off the main street into Motueka. The unit we had was quite large and we discovered it was the one adapted for wheelchairs, the other units were as nice but not so 'open' in appearance. Everything was modern and decorated in lovely muted tones of blue...

We visited Motueka as a base to explore the Abel Tasman national park in Dec 08. We paid $90 a night for a unit in the Elianse and it was perfect. The unit was huge and absolutely spotless throughout. We had a very comfortable queen bed and the living area contained a sofa bed. There are only four units so...

“They all look good - we ended up in the handicapped accessible room which had a big bathroom and lots of space on either side of the bed. But other rooms are also very large.”
