We had a really great time staying in the absolute amazing and luxurious cottage celebrating our honeymoon. The stay here greatly exceeded our expectations...The location, the breathtaking views, the tranquil gardens, the design of the cottage and every little detail worked out to perfection. Scott & John were perfect and generous hosts (thanks again for the bottle of bubbly to...

Thanks so much for your great review, A&K, you are very kind to write such nice things. We too, are pleased you enjoyed our little Cottage and its ambience and view, it is pretty nice, isn’t it? We’d love to host you again on your next trip, too and hope your journey in NZ continues well.

Awatea Tasman Bay has a wonderful Location at a hill site. The modern and great furnished home is perfect and the view over the Tasman Bay is really amazing. You even can see Nelson in the far. But most important for this wonderful B&B accomodation are the Hosts Scott and John. They give you the feeling of being home and...

Dear S&H, thank you for your kind words in your review. We are happy that your visit with us was so enjoyable and that you were able to do the walk and the boat ride you wanted in the nearby, scenic Abel Tasman National Park. And, we’re pleased that you enjoyed the view and accommodation offered by our BayView suite,...

Visited New Zealand for a month during March and stayed in several B&Bs on both the North and South Islands; Awatea Tasman Bay was the best place we stayed in by far! Scott and John have achieved a level and professional yet friendly service that many other B&B owners find hard to manage. We stayed in the Cottage and it...

Dear D&G, Hey there, nice to hear from you and many thanks for the wonderful positive expression about service, cleanliness and catering regarding your stay here. It was really nice to enjoy breakfasts together on the east deck, wasn’t it; watching the colours change across Tasman Bay and the sunny aspect for your morning coffee. It was a pleasure meeting...

On a hill over looking the valley and farmlands, the grounds and gardens are wonderfully landscaped and maintained. And great birding…Weka on the door step, Morepork calling at night. The house is immaculate, and beautifully crafted. We stayed in the Forest View room. It was so clean and so comfortable. Scott and John were wonderful hosts, and helped us out...

Dear S&S (PipperDog), Thank you for your wonderful review; we’re so happy you enjoyed yourselves here, and that you were able to get out and about exploring Abel Tasman National Park and our lovely surrounding area. On arrival we were welcomed by Scott and John with a drink and some homemade hommus. They are lovely and very helpful. Their place is amazing up on the hill with a stunning view overlooking Motueka and Tasman Bay. We stayed in the cottage. We were just in awe when we walked in! It's sooo good!! Hi, T&J, Wow, what a nice review, thank you so much. Obviously, we’re happy you enjoyed your stay with us enough to write a review, but a great review, at that, too. Cheers. We too, had a good time hosting you both – it’s always nice to be able welcome new guests with a pleasant chat over wine or beer...

A real top of the range B&B, not cheap but in our view worth every penny. Set up its own steep drive off a quiet road a few kilometres outside Motueka, Atawea Tasman Bay discretely nestles into its gardens and native vegetation on the brow if its hill. But step inside and the view that greets you is far from...

Dear J&K (aka Nancy), You are so kind to write those very nice words; thank you very much. Your five-night stay enabled you to see and do so much of what the area offers our guests – from wineries, to golden, pristine beaches (which you can often have to yourselves), beautiful vistas from Abel Tasman National Park, great food, etc....

Our favorite stay in New Zealand. We stayed in the cottage and just loved it. Very comfortable with high quality finishings and amenities. Everything we needed was provided by our companionable hosts. The location is very good for exploring Abel Tasman without being very far from restaurants and grocery stores. Thank you for your charming review Sharon. We are very happy that you loved staying in our Cottage! And thanks for mentioning that our location is ideal for exploring Abel Tasman National Park, the local restaurants and facilities of Motueka, but also off the busy main roads so it is peaceful (and with beautiful views!). We hope you’ll come back...

We spent 3 nights with John and Scott staying in the Forest View room. The location of Awatea, their purpose built B&B overlooking Abel Tasman, is stunning. Dear A&M, thank you for your illuminating review about our B&B and its amazing view! Thanks for your review, eddieandchris. It was a pleasure to host you both and we’re glad you joined us for breakfast even though you were in the self-contained Cottage – it’s often so much easier to have breakfast with us than to bring in your own food.
