High up on a cliff, you wake up to an incredible sunrise overlooking the Tasman Bay, with beautiful views. By far the best view of any place we stayed while in New Zealand. Thelma and Roger are incredibly friendly - Thelma let us drop our bags off a few hours before the normal check in time, and greeted us with... More

We spent 2 nights here and Thelma cooked dinner for us both nights, which was great. (We had requested in advance.) The views from the deck are simply stunning and the accommodation is very good. The location is perfect for walking down to a beach and a shortish drive to where the boat trips leave from to explore the coast... More

This lovely, warm and interesting couple really went out of their way to helps us explore the area and offer above-and-beyond hospitality. The views from their deck (which they share with the guests) is unsurpassed. They have a wonderful hilltop garden too--delicious honey! The rooms are cute and small and comfortable with good views & deck access. The en suite... More

It was a real pleasure to stay at Thelma and Roger's beautiful eco home. We will always have very fond memories of the place, especially the spectacular views from the terrace, which overlooked the sea. Thelma and Roger were very welcoming and we enjoyed our breakfast and evening talks with them. Thelma was great at helping us plan our itinerary... More

An amazing house overlooking the Abel Tasman National park and Split Apple Rock. Outstanding views, excellent comfortable accommodation with genuine and caring hosts, Thelma and Roger. The drive up to the house is a bit hair raising, very steep and windy but don't let that put you off. If you are visiting the South Island the Abel Tasman area is... More

We spent two nights in the double room overlooking the bay. The room was very comfortable and it was lovely to step out onto the decking and have such a spectacular view. Staying in a Homestay and being able to talk to our hosts about life in New Zealand helped to make it a really nice stay as well. It... More

We stayed four nights in the Queen room (12m2) and shower (2.5m2), but with a super grand terrace of about 80m2 having a grand view over the sea towards the east. We were welcomed to make use of the kitchen anytime to make tea/coffee and store our wine in the fridge. Although we ate out once, we preferred to buy... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in February 2013 as part of our honeymoon. We were in the front double room which had a fantastic view of the water and up into the Abel Tasman NP. On the first night we took a walk down to the local beach and had the place to ourselves for a lovely swim. Thelma... More

Our family (with 2 young children) had an excellent stay. The guest area is private and the rooms were very clean & comfortable. The views across Golden Bay from both rooms (and their adjoining balconies) is fantastic. The home cooked breakfast, with lots of locally grown fruit, was a highlight. Thelma is a wonderful host and we would love to stay... More
