One of the most picturesque islands in the Indian Ocean, Ihuru is an exquisite tropical paradise waiting to be discovered. Blessed with palm-fringed beaches, crystal clear waters and pristine house reefs, the eco and guest-friendly retreat is located on the North Malé Atoll, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Malé. Step onto an island where nature beckons and plush comforts await. Let your eye wander across the endless stretch of the deep blue sea, rich with dazzling marine life. Feel the excitement in the air seep into your veins and flow through your being. Ease back and rock in your private garden's Maldivian swing. Gently kick the crystalline waters and watch them ripple out toward the Indian Ocean. Dive the famed Rannamaari wreck and sip cocktails at our oceanfront bar in the company of graceful dolphins. At Dhawa Ihuru Island resort, the island is yours.

This was our first time in Maldives and my family choosed to spend 12 days at Angasana Ihuru Resort and Spa. We couldn´t have done a better choice.
This island is a dream and corresponds with its round shape to the dream of a Maldives island. The welcome was very friendly and after 20 minutes we were already on the island. We stayed at a beach bungalow that was functionally furnished, but with attention to detail and with direct access to the beach (the sea was just one minute away).
Peace and quiet is the name of the game. The resort is very beautiful, has great vegetation and is very well maintained. The best thing was the view of the turquoise sea. Beach is very calm and private, given the small size of the resort and the fact that each villa has its own beach area.
The staff is warmth, professional, with a really attentive service. Wifi speed was reliable and fast and you can count with twice a day housekeeping. We found the food to be very tasty.
The house reef is excellent and easy to reach, with the most amazing sea life: We saw Rays, sharks, turtles, clown fish amongst many when we snorkeled. This island is a gem when it comes to marine life; some of the best snorkeling I've ever had worldwide. Dining is also great
A tiny island which felt like your own private island in Maldivas.

hi all we spent 4 nights/5 days here to end our holiday. this is our third time to the Maldives and this is by far the best island we have been on.
it houses approx 100 guests and takes less than 5 mins to walk round the beach
the reef has been damaged by el Niño in 2016 but they have done a lot of work and it is regenerating well. we had villa 44, it is quiet, calm from the wind and very peaceful.
The first morning we saw a manta off the reef by the nearest channel marker less than 100 yards from our lounger (photos from yoyo the dive girl, I thought she was a tourist and thought at first it was a big shark, seems someone spotted it and she shot out to film it,) on the last day a pod of dolphins swam by the same spot.
The staff were all perfect and really helpful, the room was cleaned twice daily and always spotless, as were the outside areas.
We were b&b only and ate in the bar/restaurant for other meals. very good food and reasonable prices
twas a mixture of couples, family and a few singles, all friendly
Evening entertainment was from Adia and Will, an acoustic set of eclectic tunes in her own style. she learned a Joan Baez song in 2 days for me, Awesome.
wish I could pick out a staff member as being exceptional but they all were. we will be back again

Staying in Angsana Ihuru has been the best vacation of our life.
Catherine and the staff were all friendly and wonderful and always grateful for cleaning the room and garden.
The great food by chef Ibrahim Zahir, especially the hot pot, was unforgettable.
We snorkeled right in front of my cottage, and slowly traveled around the island for about an hour, encountering so many colorful fish and sharks, and occasionally sea turtles.
The picnic lunch arranged by Sinon on a solitary island was so wonderful, beyond paradise, it was like heaven.
After a lot of swimming, we were healed by a fine, gentle and powerful massage by Vita and Cindy.

There is only one request. I want to take a shower when I return from the sea, so I want to ask you a hose and shower head attached to the tap in the garden.

I primise I will work hard and earn money to get back to the Maldives!

We were greeted by friendly faces naufal, Jihane and siyod. Checking in was comfortable

Room
Moosa our cleaner was very attentive to our needs and always providing us drinking water. Bed is super comfortable just need better pillows. All rooms are overlooking the water just at your door front so makes things so easy to swim and come back to your cooling room. If the dark nights the sky looks amazing without clouds.

Restaurant
Sunil has been very friendly & attentive and shareef has been great. Maybe add more service staff during dinner services. Indian buffet was so good on Mondays (highly recommend) . Fish seems to be cooked extremely well done here. Sail fish is very chewy like chicken

Bar
Our favourite guy Rohit has been super amazing by serving us all our request with a smile always. Even gave us recommendations on what to order for food.

Spa
Tina was good and the environment was beautiful. What upset me was the renovation happening that didn’t give me a peaceful massage. Maybe make sure you find out any weird sounds were happening.

Overall the Jihane, Rohit, Sunil & Moosa made our experience a lot better here in the resort and hear our feedbacks.
Sunset on the dock is the best place

We enjoyed very much our stay at Ihuru - very good reef, excellent food, laid back feel. We appreciated our jacuzzi villa on the western part, which was sheltered from the wind, had the lagoon, the sandbank and the best part of the reef close by. Room could use a little renovation (the AC was loud and only on very high flow), but eveything is very well maintained and very clean.

From the welcome on arrival to the wave off on departure I felt very comfortable in this resort. I was there for most of the time with my 22 year old son and we had a great time. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and smiley and nothing was too much trouble. I liked the way they learned our first names. The ladies in the bar were great and quickly knew our favourite tipples. And the staff at the reception and the restaurant were all great.

The highlight for me was the trip over the Banyan Tree where one of the members of staff fed the Stingrays at 400pm. Half a dozen of these amazing fish came to eat from his hands. Also a few small sharks around. The house reef was well populated. My son enjoyed an escorted scuba dive, and we also went deep sea fishing early one morning and caught a pair of mahi mahis. We also did the night fishing trip.

We went for the all inclusive option which was good. The food was excellent but not top notch. After ten days it became slightly repetitive and I would not recommend staying here for more than ten days.

I was lucky as I had a 22.30 flight departure and I was allowed to stay in a villa for a late checkout for no extra charge.

Just back from a week here and it ranks as one of our best holidays ever!

The island itself is tiny, and you can walk round it in 10 minutes. But that just makes the whole experience more intimate. With only 45 villas, it never feels crowded, and you have your own private garden to relax in, occasionally seeing people walk past (especially if you are near one of the reef entry points)

At the moment, the best beaches are on the West - South West of the island, but, that side is also very sheltered with little or no breeze, so it does get intensely hot.

We were in Villa 11, on the North East, which benefited from a cooling breeze (sometimes a little too windy) but we much preferred it. Ours was the standard Beach Villa, so no jacuzzi, but I can’t say we missed it.

The villa was really nicely decorated, was cleaned twice a day, and even the sand outside the villa was raked on a daily basis, clearing up any leaves or other debris.

The food varied from very good to excellent, with there regularly being at least one item on the menu that was outstanding. It varies from buffet to a la carte and, while there is obviously more choice at the buffet, which also has a live cooking station, we found there was always enough on the a la carte to choose from.

Even on the one night the kitchen made a misstep, and over cooked my Veal Cutlet, our waiter for the week, Husham, was quick to offer a replacement or an alternative main course.

In fact, as many of the other reviews have said, the staff cannot do enough for you here and they really deliver on customer service.

I celebrated a birthday while we were away, so the staff prepared a special table for us, to give us a little more privacy, gave me a birthday cake at the end of the meal and, when we returned to the villa, found that they had decorated our bed with a palm leaf floral display spelling out Happy Birthday

For our last night, we opted for one of the Destination Dining options, where you are taken to a remote sandbank for an intimate meal, which was perfect from start to finish. Shareef, our waiter, and Ismail the chef did everything they could to make our last night special

We also had a couple of treatments at the spa, both of which were excellent, from Hotma, Clara and Vita, our therapists.

All in all, we had a fantastic holiday, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Ihuru!

The resort is super amazing and highly recommended . What really made the difference is the staff; from the very beginning Mr. Naoufel welcomed us at the island bay and was very attentive and friendly all the our stay time . The resort in total is amazing location, atmosphere just like small paradise on earth and really what make it special and unique is the staff and special thank to reception manager Naoufel for the efforts he made to make our trip Magnificat and trip to always remember .

Food and drink were very good quality . Main chief Ibrahim was passing by table by table to check for guest satisfaction . Bar cocktails were up to standards and service as well ; Hushim from dining room was very attentive .food Buffet had a lot of options and food variety . There was a live station breakfast , lunch and dinner .

Villa jet jacuzzi we stayed was fantastic with perfect view and beach access adding privacy there is space between each villa and a lot of trees and plants .

Angsana Ihuru in total is perfect destination for quality vacation especially if you looking for romantic and peace trip . One resort island in the middle of the sea surrounding with coral reefs and very rich marine life . For our third trip to the Maldives we decided on Angsana Ihuru and are very happy that we made the right decision!!
First the good stuff:
The island is maintained in impeccable condition, the staff were helpful and went out of their way to make our stay amazing from beginning to end. A special thank you to Riyaz and Miffy for being such great hosts.
We very much appreciated the resort's commitment to preserving the natural beauty, flora and fauna, and the exceptional house reef. A special thank you to Hassan for giving me a fantastic guided snorkelling experience and an amazing souvenir memory of it too!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the spa treatments too. The deck area around the restaurant and bar are idyllic.
Second, how things could be even better:
Having been on a number of night snorkelling trips in the Maldives, I was disappointed on this trip; the Marine Centre staff seemed uninterested, unconcerned and gave us only a very short session.
If the hotel allocated rooms for couples away from families, it would be much better; I'm sure most couples value their peace and quiet especially in such a beautiful setting
During the pandemic, perhaps buffet-style dining is not really the best option; although guests are required to wear masks and hand sanitisers are generously provided, there is a very real risk owing to handling of serving cutlery, plates, glasses, bread, toaster etc. And we would have liked to have experienced more Maldivian cuisine.
All in all a truly lovely holiday on a truly lovely island!!

Another return visit organised for us by Indian Ocean specialists Angelfish Travel. Just 25 minutes by speedboat from Male yet far enough to exude peace and quiet, Angsana Ihuru has been a favourite of ours for many years. It's one of the most relaxing resorts we've stayed at, not 5 star but definitely 4 star+ because of the very friendly service, the quality of the food (Head Chef Ibrahim visits every table every night) and the house reef which we rate as one of the best in the Maldives with a great variety and quantity of fish.. This year we found upgraded A/C systems in the villas which have their own private little garden and small indoor/outdoor bathroom with shower. No surprise that Angsana has an enviable record of returning guests who are treated like old friends throughout the island. Whilst the gym needs more modern equipment, every other facility is faultless and foolproof. We're already dreaming of a seventh visit next year!

There is a free boat shuttle a few times a day. You can visit the other island and go swimming and snorkeling. The drinks and food and activities are not included but you can charge it on the daws Ihuru room.
