This was our first time in Maldives and my family choosed to spend 12 days at Angasana Ihuru Resort and Spa. We couldn´t have done a better choice. This island is a dream and corresponds with its round shape to the dream of a Maldives island. The welcome was very friendly and after 20 minutes we were already on the island. We stayed at a beach bungalow that was functionally furnished, but with attention to detail and with direct access to the beach (the sea was just one minute away). Peace and quiet is the name of the game. The resort is very beautiful, has great vegetation and is very well maintained. The best thing was the view of the turquoise sea. Beach is very calm and private, given the small size of the resort and the fact that each villa has its own beach area. The staff is warmth, professional, with a really attentive service. Wifi speed was reliable and fast and you can count with twice a day housekeeping. We found the food to be very tasty. The house reef is excellent and easy to reach, with the most amazing sea life: We saw Rays, sharks, turtles, clown fish amongst many when we snorkeled. This island is a gem when it comes to marine life; some of the best snorkeling I've ever had worldwide. Dining is also great A tiny island which felt like your own private island in Maldivas. …

Our family (2 adults, a teenager of 17 and a kid of 6 ) truly enjoyed our stay at Dhawa in April 2023. Location: 20 minutes by speed boat from Velana International airport. We were arriving from Ayada island where we spent our first week. The transfer organization was fast and efficient. Island: small cozy island with Beach villas all around, a restaurant, bar, a diving/ sport center and a fitness center. Dhawa has joint facilities with Banyan Vabbinfaru, that is just 3 minutes away by a boat (transfer is complimentary, scheduled timing during a day). Great possibilities to travel between both and to enjoy facilities. We did it many times during our week holidays. Beach and ocean: Dhawa has an important particularity: you will see many sand bags placed on the beach all around the island. It may disturb your first impression. We had a meeting with a hotel manager, who clearly explained us the reason of this installations. All in Dhawa try to preserve the sandy beach, affected by sand mutation, when ocean waters wash the sand away. Some hotels construct a barrer around the island to solve this problem, but in Dhawa they try to preserve the nature and to leave the open view on the ocean. Maldives very much depend on a nature and there in Dhawa they try to keep it as natural as they can. We could anyway enjoy wide sandy beach at Banyan (neighbor island). The most important and appreciated in Dhawa: HOUSE REEF! It is just superb! We have spent hours and hours snorkeling, there are hundreds of fishes just 3-5 steps from the beach. No need to take a boat. Such treasure! We saw turtle, sharks, octopus, murène, colorful fishes. We 100% recommend Dhawa Ihuru for those who love snorkeling. Accommodation: beach villas are of moderate size. Possible for family of 4: king bed and 2 extra beds. Nice terrace with table, big sofa, swing, Sun beds. One bathroom, open shower under palm trees. Very comfortable bed and pillows indeed. Service and facilities. We appreciated so much very personalized service. After several days we know all members of team by names, their smiling faces gave us an impression to be like at home. Every friendly atmosphere, so local, Maldivian. Big thank to Julia from reception, who organized us our activités, to Biju and Niyam from diving center, who made our son first diving lesson, to Areef, our housekeeper, who has perfectly adapted to our schedule from the first day. Our room was done morning and evening so perfectly! To our waiter (sorry, forgot his name, Shareef?) meeting us with a wide smile. We had an all-inclusive package, ideal option for family. Chef is great, we enjoyed food. Choice is moderate but so tasty. Meat, fish, vegetables on grill almost every evening. Fresh local fruits, fresh juices. We had a great fishing (offered by a manager), we had an ocean walk to see dolphins and we saw them. My husband had a birthday and we had fantastic celebration: highly recommended package Discovery dinner. 100% worth it! You start on Maldivian local boat for drinks, you continue on the beach of Dhawa, in Spa, on beach of Banyan and bar of Banyan for deserts. I will not give all details, just check : Discovery dinner offer and go for it for your special occasion. Bref, we loved our Maldivian experience on a small, cozy, friendly Dhawa, that offers great atmosphere being like at home.…

We have just spent a week in Dhawa Ihuru between the 30 th of April- 7th of May. In one word: it was our best holiday in the last 5 years. We were carried by speedboat to the island. It took 30 minutes from airport, the transfer was well organized. When we arrived the general manager welcomed us, he took us to our villa, he was really kind and helpful. We got a rain mist villa. Our first impression was that we were in paradise! Our villa was situated on the breezy(depends on seasons)side of the island. We really liked it, was perfect for sunbathing and relaxing on the beach. For snorkeling we chose a windless part of the island, it was just a short walk from our sunbeds (the island is small, you can pass round in 7 minutes). Snorkeling was first class. The lagoons are narrow, so you can easily reach the coral reef and the open sea border through the channels. Sad to say the corals are bleaching like everywhere☹️ the hotel has a marine center so you can do plenty of marine activities during your stay. To tell the truth we only used the rain mist part of our villa once, because we were always on the beach till sunset. And now the most important part, the cleanness! Everything was really neat. They are cleaning the rooms two times per day. We couldn’t see any insects except two ants in our bathroom and we only had two mosquitos bites. Cute geckos are everywhere! Dining: we travelled with an all inclusive pack. The main meals are organized in a buffet way. Wide variety of delicious international and Asian dishes. Every day they manage the dinners around a theme like Indian Ocean,Maldivian, bbq etc..Three times we had à la carte for dinner. This was the best part thanks for chef Ibrahim! During our stay we were always bellyful so we couldn’t even need the snack period. Our waiter was gentle and polite. Beverages: plenty of nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks in the bar. They provide quality, brand alcoholic drinks. The mini bar is refilled every day with drinks and snacks and naturally with water. On the last day they didn’t forget my birthday, I got a birthday cake as well. To summarize, we had a really good time. Would we return? Definitely YES! …

We spent 10 days in beautiful beach villa at Dhawa Ihuru. We had a wonderful time. The resort is located in a small island. It’s very cosy. The food is delicious. We had great time diving ( snorkeling and scuba diving). I must say that we were stunned by the beauty of underwater life on the house reef (at only 30 mètres from the beach, numerous marine species are present). And the spa is incredible….
