We stay here for dinner and overnight each year on or around our anniversary. The Rossmount never disappoints. This is an old century+ inn; rich in history. Some rooms are large and some are smaller in order to protect the architectural beauty and integrity. If you're looking for rocket fast internet or large TVs, maybe stay at a Super 8. But if you're looking for a romantic and/or peaceful stay, surrounded by old world beauty, this is the place. There were two deer grazing on the front lawns as dusk fell. The restaurant is simply among the finest in this end of Canada. Special thanks to Marcie for getting us our morning coffee ridiculously early. I can't sufficiently say how much we love the Rossmount.

Spent two nights here as part of a maritime honeymoon. The Inn itself is classic, quaint and fairly basic. No fridge or phone in rooms, fine beds, etc. but it is absolutely worth the stay for the food and hospitality. We did an included package which included 2 breakfasts as well as a 7 course tasting menu, which was a GREAT price for anything comparable that we have seen. We ended up being able to snag a dinner reservation our first night as well and we were not disappointed. The food was spectacular. Highly recommend.

We stopped here for two nights last week and at last I have the time to write a comment.
By now we have been on the road over two weeks and stayed at over 6 different accommodations. We have dined out over 12 times too on this trip.
The Rossmount sticks in our mind for the sheer professionalism and quality of service throughout the whole hotel. To discover that the head chef is Swiss has been like music to our ears for us Europeans. To discover that more than one server is perfectly adept at mixing a mean cocktail has also been a delight too. We dined here for the two nights we stayed and easily chose this over a potential visit into town.
I increasingly comment about Canada being a culinary desert as far as we European tourists are concerned. When I do find an amazing restaurant it is only fair to point this out to other travellers so that they too might enjoy this. The Rossmount is such a place and even if you are not staying here it is well worth the 5 mile drive out of town to sample all they have to offer.
I had a steak that you certainly did not need a steak knife for, a spoon would have done the meat was so beautiful and tender. My wife had the chicken with Roesti which again was perfection.
Our room was huge and more like a suite with fantastic views over the extensive grounds. Again amazing room service ensured we had clean dry towels each morning, not always a given!
The breakfasts too were amazing and a real continental feel to these with fresh quality food.
This clearly was the best of our trip so far but, as I say writing one week later, more fine dining was to follow.

All staff members were very friendly and focussed on satisfying all of our special needs. The restaurant is definitely their main attraction and we thoroughly enjoyed the 7-course "Trust the Chef" menu option. The room was exactly as advertised and very clean. Having a small bar fridge in the room would be a nice add-on to their service.

A lovely country hotel that offers good value for the price. We signed up for the full experience package which also included a full tasting menu at the restaurant, which is likely the best in New Brunswick and among the best in Canada. Highly recommended.

We went with two other couples. The men golfed during the day and the ladies did the trail behind the inn and some local shopping. The room was quaint. The bathroom was quite small. The dinner and breakfast was very nice as was the service. We sat outside in the afternoon with friends and in the evening in the hallway before supper. Lovely time had by all.

I didn’t actually stay here but I did want to say that I had a reservation and canceled because of weather and perhaps smoke from the wild fires. I canceled about 4 days out and they were very gracious about my cancelation. I certainly will try again. Did did let me know that at that time, smoke was not an issue there.

It's a beautiful historic country inn that made me fully relaxed. Enjoyed the fantastic dinner, with everything made by fresh, local ingredients. I really appreciate their great service. There's a clean, cozy pool area. People enjoyed bar service there as well.

You can't miss the trail behind the inn. At the top of hill, you'll see how beautiful the view with the sea and islands!

The Swiss couple, Graziella and Chris Aerni, operate a very comfortable and charming inn and restaurant nearby the lovely seaside town of St. Andrews, NB. Do not expect in-room internet, or TV - they don't have it.
What they do have is fabulous, affordable fine dining, using locally grown/raised ingredients, in perfectly prepared dishes.
In Maine or Vermont, this spot would be innundated, and cost twice to three times what is does in this out-of-the way spot in friendly, beautiful Canada!

Saint Andrews is a must visit in New Brunswick.
It's a small town located on the Bay of Fundy and the tides are huge. This place is so nice my daughter's freinds at the University of New Brunswick said it is a must see. They were right! If you go to Saint Andrews between the end of June and September there are a number of tour operaters located at the pier that offer whale watching, with gaurantees!

We had dinner at the Rosemount Inn and it was spectacular. The proprietors are Swiss and the husband is the sous chef. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. There is a very well stocked wine selection which is reasonably priced as well. This place and Saint Andrews were a very pleasant suprise.
I would recomend reservations during the season.

I cannot answer your question concerning the pool but can comment on room. My wife and I stayed in one of the queen rooms with a forest view. We were quite pleased. The room was small but very comfortable and clean. There were chairs to lounge in, a dresser, and a dressing table/desk with chair. My wife has back problems and it is rare for her to sleep well when we travel, but she slept throughout the night waking refreshed here. Very comfortable.
