Due to no passing trade and little options this place which is reasonably priced offers everything at a premium.

But having said that its a great island with some nice bike rides and few bits to see, welcoming small population. Great way to finish a tour of the region.

But expect to pay for it.

Gyms ok
Pool fantastic
Views fantastic
Rooms great size bit dated but comfy
Staff friendly
Free pushbikes
Free kayaks
Free DVD rental
Massage, food, booze overpriced. But all ok.

One hand nice eco lodge , on the other hand bungalows are settled on the sand but no beach available .... You have to wait the high tide back at the end of the morning . There is no private beach only bamboos all around the resort to keep the sand.
So when you book bungalows on the sand you think to have the opportunity to have a beach just beside.

This hotel enjoys a stunning, quiet location away from the usual noise of scooters and long tails but visitors need to be fully aware of this isolation away from any other bars or restaurants. Krabi is about 30 minutes away by scenic 8km tuk tuk ride and ferry. Return tuk tuk ride is bht 400 so not cheap by Thai standards.

Visitors do need to be fully away that, despite a stunning, coastal location, it looks out on to today flat's. There is no back for swimming. That said, the large infinity pool is ample compensation.

The hotel is clean and tidy. My negative observations relate to poor choicevof music which drones from the bar, often too loudly. The bar itself lacks atmosphere by design. Staff ofter misunderstood orders. Drinks simply did not arrive, needing multiple reminders. So nothonh major!

Sunset drinks outside were an unforgettable experience

We stayed for one week over Christmas in December 2022.

If you are after a real retreat, we couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff are lovely and service is great; restaurant serves great food, there is a bar with happy hour between 6-7pm (buy 2, get 1 free), a good gym and a fantastic pool.

For us, this resort was ideal. The rooms were spacious, up-together and had really nice outside bathrooms and seating areas. Good aircon/fan and fridge. You can arrange boat trips directly from the hotel.

Before booking bear in mind:
1) The hotel is in a remote location. It truly is a ‘hideaway’ resort. There are no restaurants nearby so you are solely relying on the hotel restaurant and bar. However, both are very good (and we are fussy) so this wasn’t a problem for us.
2) If you wish to visit Krabi Town, you need to take a tuk tuk and a boat for around 250 baht one way and slightly more if you return at night, say 350 baht. The journey takes a good half hour.
3) The beach is a non swimming beach because it is too shallow. But it is very picturesque and good for walking. You can also take kayaks out for free.

Overall, this was a very special stay for us. We found it very relaxing and our shoulders dropped for the first time in weeks. We took some first rate boat trips, caught up on some books, had a great massage and enjoyed the sunsets which are honestly some of the best we’ve seen in Thailand. Kayaks and bikes around the island are free to borrow from the hotel.

So if you’re looking for a romantic getaway or some quality time with the family, we couldn’t recommend Islanda highly enough. But if your aim is to party, perhaps it is best to stay nearer to Ao Nang.

Thanks to Paul, Man and the team for a great stay over Christmas! We had a great holiday and definitely plan to make it back at some point.

Everything about Islanda Hideaway Resort is absolutely perfect. It's not an easy place to travel to as on an island around 40 mins away from Krabi town but hotel made all the arrangements and everything was seamlessly organised. The resort itself is so charming, with beautiful bungalows arranged around a well manicured garden setting. The trees and plants are beautiful. The interiors of the rooms are well planned and charming and a lot of care been taken by management down to the last detail. The outdoor showers are fabulous and large and all amenities are available from gowns to pool towels and pool slippers. There is a gym, stunning 25m length infinity pool overlooking the Andaman sea and other islands and beach chairs scattered around which suits everyone's needs. Congratulations team. Your resort is amazing. The food is of the highest standard and staff are so kind, friendly and helpful.

Everything went well. From the airport pickup, check-in, food, drink, room, ease in which everything was organised including excursions, right through to drop off back at the airport.

This is a hideaway and not for those wanting loads of nightlife or shopping, however, it's easy enough (and great fun!) to get to Krabi town and also to various day trips etc.

I highly recommend accepting the hotel's offer of airport transfer as they travel a different route and you spend more time in the long tail boat than in the Tuk Tuk. If you want to make your own way there, then make your way to Krabi town quay and a short boat trip from there across to Koh Klang and a 20 min Tuk Tuk is easy enough.

On arrival, you're met with a relaxing and peaceful check-in (the staff are just excellent) and we (2 people) had a beach front room which I recommend as it's detached, with stunning views and has everything you need. The resort was built around 10 years ago and was closed for 3 during Covid etc and everything is in good condition. The bed was firmer than I would normally go for, but didn't cause any issues and was comfortable.

The bar is stunning (don't miss happy hour at 18:00 plus the sunsets) and the restaurant is nicely laid out and offers excellent food.

All in all, I can't fault anything, in fact it was an amazing experience throughout.

What a hidden beauty!! Tucked into the corner of a small island, this resort is a gem. The breathtaking sea views make for a fantastic evening by the beach with drinks :). The infinity pool has the same sea view which is mesmerising. The massages offered are very reasonably priced. The food options, albeit slightly limited, are well prepared. A must visit for those just looking to relax, detox and disconnect from the world! Oh and those wanting to do the island tours, should definitely do it with these guys and not pre-book tours since travelling to the pick up points can be tricky whereas if you book via hotel, they will arrange for the wntire travel.

Our stay at Islanda Hideaway Resort on Koh Klang was an experience of pure bliss and relaxation. This resort is a peaceful haven, thoughtfully integrated into its natural surroundings, promoting an impressive eco-concept and support for the local community.

The twenty-nine bungalows inspired by southern Thai culture provided a comfortable and stylish base for our stay. We were amazed by the attention to detail, with each bungalow offering modern amenities without compromising the essence of Thai simplicity and beauty.

What set Islanda apart was its remarkable seclusion. It felt like we were in our own private paradise, far from the crowds, which allowed us to dive deep into the local culture. The food was simply delicious, giving us a genuine taste of Thailand's exquisite flavors.

The cherry on top was the resort's infinity pool, located right on the beach, where we enjoyed some of the most stunning sunsets we've ever seen. Islanda Hideaway Resort is the perfect spot for anyone looking for a romantic honeymoon, a peaceful couple’s retreat, or a family getaway to relax and explore. We're already planning our next visit!

This hotel is an excellent choice for disconnection and relax. For WiFi signal you have to go to reception, but this is what disconnection is about, right? As I read in another review, prizes are above average. Because beach is facing west, be prepared for stunning sunsets. However, beach is not suitable for bath, I think it's because it lack of deep. Staff is very nice and helpful. Consider this place if your goal is disconnection and relax

This was a gem of a place, all alone on its own island with fabulous views and a very peaceful setting. The General Manager was delightful ( even making all the fabulous floral displays for Valentines himself) as was the restaurant manager and staff (only the bar manager was rude and unwelcoming) Lovely pool and restaurant and despite being full seemed very quiet with no trouble getting loungers etc. Floating bean bags a nice touch, ocean view bungalow was terrific . Would definitely come again

There are 2 routes here and I recommend the hotel shuttle route to their private pier on the South East side close to the resort . ( must book with hotel ) If you opt for the public pier on the North West side be prepared for makeshift slippery pier and a longer ride on rickety tuk tuk . Do wear good shoes with solid grip to prevent falling on the pier if you use the public one . Either way , there are no bridges to the island so everything gets here by boats & most are the small long boats .

Bonjour Nous voyageons avec un ami en fauteuil roulant cet hôtel est il adapté pour lui ??? Merci
Answer from N-CalMary
San Francisco, California47 contributions11 helpful votes
NO , getting here is by small long tail boat only & you would have to be prepared to hand load them by hand as none of the locals are large enough . Even getting a full suitcase without falling in water on the long tail is a challenge . Also , all the rooms are Thai style / on posts 1 full flight of stairs up . You would have to hard carry them up and down . Getting to most islands here for someone not fully ambulatory or able to navigate rickety makeshift piers is risky . Better to look for something IN Krabi accessible by van , not just standard taxi as many places are on small narrow ally.
