Dont even bother coming here!! Over price suites without a ocean view and rather small not even a path to the ocean just some dirty water muddie looking on the side of the hotel . The beach is full of rocks!!! it is only good to look at it only people are rude and over price drinks Look for something else i was sorry i stay in this Place

Excellent service from staff. The food was delicious. Very clean and well kept all around. Room was spacious and modern. Will be coming back! We stayed 3 nights. Walking distance to the beach and nearby Tunco restaurants and shops.

Booked this hotel as a special trip for my husband who was born in El Salvador, and hadn’t been back in decades. Unfortunately, one person in our family tested positive for Covid the day before we were supposed to stay at Boca Olas, so I had to cancel. I tried contacting the hotel many times to see if I could get a credit, if not a refund, for the stay but no one ever responded. Even the third party vendor who I booked through tried contacting them with no response! Their website was down and there was no email address listed online. Very disappointing, especially during these times when travelers are eager to support small businesses and the travel industry, but need some flexibility as we navigate the world post-pandemic.

The facility is very nice, staff are pleasant, pools a great especially the swim up bar was fantastic. Everything was fine and would have gotten a higher rating except on checking out they check every room all eight and came up one towel short that they charged $10 for. Very petty when you spend over $3,000 in one day. Shame on you.

Boca Olas is a nice quiet resort which seems a bit unusual for El tunco. The grounds are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves good food in a nice open air ambience overlooking the Rio Grande. The only reason I did not give Boca Olas five stars is that the suite I booked was a regular hotel room with a little table outside. There was not my idea of a suite. The room was nice but I feel the use of the term suite is misleading. That aside I liked Boca Olas.

Just got back from a week at Boca Olas. It was absolutely amazing. The resort is stunning. The 2 pools are very nice and each has it's own feel. The one with the swim up bar is the livelier one and the other has a quiet tranquil feel. It also has a bar, just not a swim up one. The location is right at the entrance and is a short walk into the main area (max 10 mins at a very slow pace). Breakfast was delicious and the fresh orange juice was the best way to start the day. the view and breeze from the restaurant was so relaxing. I think the best thing about this resort is the staff. And I mean ALL of them. From the front desk, the bar staff and the servers. Even the maintenance people (who were always cleaning or fixing something without ever being in the way!) and security teams are so nice with a friendly greeting when you see them. I already plan to go back to Boca Olas. I have stayed elsewhere in El Tunco but this is off the charts beautiful, It was very hard to leave. See you in 2022 Boca Olas!!…

Ocean and river view with two pools and all the amenities you expect with a beach hotel. I was a fan of the swim-up bar and jacuzzi on the roof. Decent kitchen. Awesome locale for the surf/party town of Tunco. Can't go wrong. The management was great and staff helpful. Josue was the man.

being a travel agent i get to experience hotels and resorts ,i defenetly wanted to check this resort i was amazed how beautiful it was top notch rooms are very nice, the pools well kept especially the pool bar .restaurant really good in the morning from 7 to 10 am free breakfast out waitress fatima very nice very attentive we coudnt ask for more everything within walking distance u do not need acar stores restaurants music its just fun clubs everything is there no need to go no where , wanted to say thank you fatima for all your service in the restaurant ,,,,

Our room was peaceful, right on the river/canal. (Construction is going on next door towards the ocean so until that is finished the rooms upriver (away from the ocean) will be quieter. ) Also, the music at the pool adjacent to the restaurant is on all day and evening so it can get to you after a while as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and will do whatever to make you happy. The food in the restaurant is quite good, in particular the breakfasts. The beds are a little hard. Sleeping pillows are flat. They could get some more comfy ones. There are no reading lights over the beds or on bedside tables so you'll need a headlamp to read at night. It is a great place but they will draw many more people when they commit to more sustainable practices. Instead of giving you little plastic bottles of water each day in your room, they could invest in a reverse osmosis system and bring you carafes of fresh water in your room. The plastic waste here is pretty bad! Solar on the roofs in such a sunny place would make a lot of sense and show commitment to a greener world. All in all though a terrific place. They have done a nice job here. Good value for the money.…
