Family stayed here for 4 nights, from the outside, hotel looks modern and cared for. We stayed in a room with AC on the second floor for $50US. Room was basic - beds old, sheets thin, and pillows flat. Bathroom was small, old and somewhat dirty. There were hooks in our room to hang some clothes but that's about it. Stayed here longer that we should have because it was quiet and we realized we could do many day trips from El Tunco. Most of the hotels were full already and didn't want to waste time looking for another hotel. Should have planned better. Not once did a maid clean our room. We had to clean ourselves. The staff is hardly available, you see them once in awhile but there is a different person that works every day. Grounds were dirty, trash on the lawn, food containers on the table. It was like no one cared to keep the grounds clean. One positive thing is location is good as hotel is located in a well-lit area and near a police check-point. We learned our lesson to plan better next time, hopefully you will learn from our experience.

I stayed in a deluxe/double room for 94USD for 2 nights, on level 1, on one of pools. Clean. No furniture for luggages. There was a TV next to the pool and I found the volume too high as I could hear it from my room. Water was not cold and not warm but fine. I was able to check in at 11.30am. For me the location was fine. No service around provided. Expensive for what I get for.

Don’t think twice. Book this hotel. The grounds are well kept and clean. The employees are constantly working and cleaning. Cecilia Elizabeth kept our room very clean and before we checked out she accepted our key so we didn’t have to worry about returning it. All employees I encountered were friendly, kind, and approachable. Jose Amaya was our driver. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. He was such a great introduction to El Salvador. He was friendly, funny, and charming. He told us about El Salvador as he was driving us to the hotel. He’s an excellent driver. We felt safe right away. The front desk lady (Name in my memory is foggy) was also very kind. All employees seem happy to be working there and overall a great and peaceful place to stay. They also have great security at night.

Nice clean, secure and calm place to stay while you are in el Tunco. There is a kitchen well kept and clean if you want to cook by yourself, if not you are close to several places that servs food. You have access to two pools and relax area in the shape or in the sun. There are also showers in the garden. The rooms have just a bed and a small table. I did miss some kind of hooks to hang my clothes on or at least a chair. Some shelters could also be useful for personal stuff.

Friendly staff some of them speaks English. Nice pool but sometimes occupied by outsiders. Non-hotel guest can swim on payment, that's why they give you a blue bracelet when checking in to recognize you as their guest. - The room is basic, no furniture, mirror, hangers, hook or whatever, a complete disaster! nothing to put or to hang things. Only one small table and that's it. - The beddings are thin no extra blanket. At night time when the aircon is on can be chill, we sleep without turning on the aircon then, we have the mosquitoes buzzing our ears. - The bathroom is terrible, very small and dirty - rust lavabo tap, a tiny mirror hangs so high, is the only mirror in the room. And no hot water! We have a chair outside which is good, but the room is not worth the price. The hotel has a common kitchen, for people wants to cook is possible. There is a small store next door selling vegetables, fruit and can goods. The only thing that counts here is the swimming pool. The whole complex looks nice from the outside but needs investment for some pieces of furniture in the room.

The pictures definitely need to be updated. The hotel is nicer and newly renovated. The pools were great and the employees very attentive. The hotel is 5 min away from the restaurants and beach. I had an amazing time.

Think it is the norm in El Tunco to have cold showers, which kinda sucks when the room is USD$50 per night. The place was clean and spacious, a little bit far from main strip but the food surrounding the hotel is cheaper. A huge bonus is that there are unlimited water refill and a kitchen to use. Great if you want to make some food yourself.

We stayed two nights here. Room was clean, very basic with just a bed. Communal bathrooms are kept clean, only two upstairs so sometimes a bit of a wait. Communal kitchen available but only used it once as minimal kitchenware and no washing up soap.... Pool was great, clean and nice to cool off. Both nights we were there other guests were loud and using the pool late at night.

I would love to give this place a better score and it did grow on me but overall i was disappointed on arrival and stayed in far better for far less in El Salvador. I know El Tunco is more expensive but i saw much better value places around. I stayed 6 nights and booked by email as it was over the weekend and the town gets really busy. Email communication was very good. Check in was easy and we got to check in early. We found only one member of staff to speak english so make sure you have some basic spanish. Our romm was ground floor in the annex hotel - i think they are combined but both still use different names. It was in the corner and half under the stair well to the upper floor. The one very small window was under the stairwell so let no light in. It also didn't open so even the very good A/C still meant for a hot and stuffy room. There was absolutely nowhere to hang clothes - no hooks, no coat hangers, no dresser, no table. There was a gaping gap at the front where it was obvious another queen bed had been moved out. Good bathroom which even had a sliding shower door. Cold water but that's typical in this country. Wifi very intermittent and only really worked outside. Two pools. The annexe one didn't look clean but we used the other one. Loungers but most are broken so take care! Kitchen and communal seating area. Free water. We had beer stolen from the fridge - i know that isn't the hotels fault but be aware. One night was hell with a huge group of dutch guys making a lot of noise and i mean a lot. Again not the hotel's fault. Generally a very good location as about 5 blocks back so quiet on the weekend. After 3 days they moved the room around and had the bed facing out - great improvement although still nowhere for clothes! Paid $32 weekdays and $40 weekend nights.
