We had a great time here, nice clean bungalows with a great beach right at your doorstep. The owners are extremly friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was good with both western and Myanmar choices. And also the whole resort is powered by solar panels, seems like the right way to go.

Beautiful place and only 1of 2 beach bungalows in the South where foreigners may stay. Dream beach with lots of shade and nice hammocks on your bungalow balcony to chill. Watch out for sandflies. Book in advance (specify the number of beds in a bungalow - like singles would still prefer to have one big bed rather than one tiny one in a row of 2 or 3). The bungalows only have 2 USB / phone plugs, so you need to charge your camera gear, laptop etc in the restaurant. It's all solar powered and there were no power cuts! It's a great place for day excursions into the village, pagodas and other beaches. Driving up the hill and especially on the jungle path inside the compound is not recommended unless you have driving experience in Asia/ on narrow, unpaved, mountainous roads! Just park in the village and walk (a good 40min with luggage) or better organise a motorbike taxi for the last stretch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

I would recommend hiring scooters to get to Paradise beach bungalows to allow you to explore the other gorgeous beaches nearby. The restaurant is excellent with a good choice. The owners and staff are really helpful.

It was fully booked when I arrived (nice walk through the jungle). It was to late to return to Dawei (last minibus at 9am) and I asked if I could pitch my tent and pay to use their facilities. They first said ok but for 20000ks including breakfast (luckily). When I started asking for a lower price (my own tent and mattress on the beach) then they say not possible after calling the boss. They sent me back to the village saying I could sleep in the monastery. It turned out being impossible then a lot of people for involved including the village chief, a phone call to the police... I was supposed to go back to Dawei (3h mostly night ride on a moto-taxi with my big backpack) and pay 20000ks. I refused, too dangerous and too expensive. They called back the boss of the paradise bungalows and he finally accepted me camping for a mere 10000ks including nothing, 100% benefit (my own tent and mattress, on the beach not in the compound, ok to use restaurant's toilet and an old place with bucket water for shower). Not very welcoming, not really what you usually find in Burma... the beach is very nice though, could see the sunset and sunrise then leave early to catch the 9am bus.

These beach bungalows are unique in Myanmar. They are simple but comfortable, and you have a direct view towards a beautiful, quiet beach. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant is reasonable. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit difficult to reach, but there are plans to improve the path to the bungalows. There's no WiFi or reception, but that's a great part of the experience.
