Don’t think twice and choose the Mandolis if you are visiting Dawei. The owner Nawar is an amazing host that takes a genuine care of his guests, staff and property. His white sand beach (40 mins ride from the hotel) is a hidden gem, very beautiful. Gorgeous and authentic, surrounded by little islands and mountains. Dawei in general is a discovery, lovely clean town with beautiful houses and friendly people. There is a river, beaches, mountains, waterfalls. Mild comfortable climate, fresh air. I’ve looked around and confident the Mandolis is the best hotel in the area. No drop of rain in 3 days even through it’s July, the worst month of monsoon - what a great surprise!

We received a wonderful warm welcolme by the owner and his staff. A charming small hotel with lush gardens and lovely rooms. Our two rooms were large with everything needed for a relaxing stay; big comfy bed with nice linens, great shower and balcony. The restaurant produced delicious food with something for all tastes. The drinks and wine were excellent. Nice breakfast choices and coffee. We couldn't have been happier at this super friendly property. Will be back for sure!

We spent 8 nights in the Mandolis which was great. Nawar, the owner, is a perfect host! You’ll feel at home and taking care of. The breakfast is delicious and offers a good choice. But not only for breakfast you can also have a good lunch or dinner in the restaurant. It’s almost a botanical garden with lots of variety, really beautiful. And the rooms are very comfortable, well decorated, spacious, comfortable bed, clean and a very hot shower every moment of the day 😃 The staff is professional very friendly and helpful. Our stay was perfect!

Unfortunately I stayed only on night in Dawei this time. I sppntaneously decided to have one overnight stay in Dawei and opted for The Mandolis. This was a very good decision as the Hotel is a relatively small and turend out to be a very pleasant one from being welcomed to the overall stay. The room is spacious enough and I had a room with a veranda to the small back-yard which is full of lovely plants. A pleasure to sit there and relax. Staff was super welcoming and the little tals with the manager were nice, he knows a lot of this area, so ask whatever you want to know. Food and breakfast were excellent although I would opt for more local dishes if available. The only drwaback is that the hotel is a bit distant from the cit centre yet there are still some places to see in the vicinity if you are curious enough. What really impressed me was the bathroom with excelent water pressure and heat of the shower. You even need to be careful a bit that it does not get too hot :D . it is quite there and relaxing with some colonial touch. And what can be a draw back, can be an asset too, it is very close to the airport. If I ever come back to Dawei, I would stay there again if the standard remains like it was during my stay. Thanks to the manager and all the staff!

This place is the epitome of travellers’ perfection. Mawar has thought of every little thing a traveller ‘needs’ or wants in a small boutique hotel. The rooms are stylish, the beds are a little too comfy ( I didn’t plan on having a lay in one morning), bathrooms impeccably clean..... you cannot beat this place! Mawar treats you as a long lost friend, he can give information on whatever you need to know or provide assistance in onward travel or day trips. I liked it so much I retuned early from a beach stay! Keep doing what you are doing..... you can’t improve on perfection. Also need to mention all the wonderful staff. They are so smiley and helpful and incredibly polite.

We spent 4 nights in the Mandolis at the beginning of January. It was a fantastic stay! The rooms are really nice, a very good bed and a lovely shower. The food was delicious, a very good mix of cultures. Breakfast also nice. The hotel owner knows very well what tourists want, and he's a great help in organising trips. We talked a lot with him, and he was always willing to help. Since the region is only starting to become touristic, this was really helpful. We visited Tizit Beach which is also part of the Mandolis, wow, one of the best beaches we have seen so far!. We hope to come back there in the near future, once their boutique hotel will be there! We can definitely recommend this place, you won't get dissapointed.
