My wife and I had a couple of nights at the Manifold Inn. We are expecting a baby in a few weeks time, and took the chance to get away and relax before the baby arrives. We had been given a voucher for a hotel of our choice, as a Christmas gift, and we selected the Manifold Inn from a...

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Free wi fi which was good as there was pretty much no mobile phone signal. Room was very clean and had everything you needed (beware if you have allergies... feather duvet and pillows, these were changed for us on request but better to let them know before you arrive) lovely countryside, the...

Lovely place and very quaint and friendly. Felt refreshed and rested after 3 days of fresh air and good ale. Perfect place to charge the batteries. Central location for lovely walks and 10 minutes by car or bus to Hartington which worth a visit...we would recommend this hotel.

The staff were very welcoming and gave good tips on what to do locally. The bar has a good selection of beers, the service in the restaurant was prompt, good choice of food, great location for walking/cycling the Manifold Trail and Tissington Trail.

We had a 2 night break at this beautiful inn, and our room was in the stable building which has been tastefully renovated. The room was very clean and roomy, with an excellent bathroom. The booking in process was quick and efficient, and the staff were always friendly and helpful at all times. The food was exceptional, especially the small...

We have just returned home after having a two night break here. Our son and his wife, who had previously had a short break here, recommended that we booked a break at The Manifold Inn. We had a thoroughly relaxed time here, our room was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was amazing. We dined each evening in...

We were allocated room 6 and found the bed as hard as nails which meant very little sleeps on night one and no sleep on night two. Darker curtains may have helped as there was a light outside which kept the room light. The staff put a topper on but it was still uncomfortable. That's the bad bit out of...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Manifold Inn is a delightful 200 year old coaching inn and restaurant that offers warm hospitality and quality home cooked food for visitors to the beautiful White Peak. The mellow stone inn is positioned within its own grounds nestling on the banks of the Manifold River, opposite The Old Toll House which used to serve the turnpike and river ford. This beautiful listed building is positioned close to a number of popular walking and cycling routes, including the Manifold Trail, set amongst the famous Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales which offer some of England's most natural and unspoilt scenery. The Manifold Inn is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding natural countryside of the White Peak area or to visit the local Market towns of Bakewell & Ashbourne or Spa towns of Buxton & Matlock and their surrounding attractions. Open all year round and all days most of the year we offer our guests a range of Ales, Larger, Cider, Wines and Soft Drinks. We serve a traditional English Breakfast to guests and in the Summer to Campers. A Lunch Menu is available and during the Summer a Snack Menu if you are just looking for a quick bite to eat. A full Dinner Menu and Wine List is available to be served in our Bar, Conservatory, Snug or Restaurant. We can cater for Dinner Party groups for around 40 guests. We offer 10 en-suite hotel rooms and a 2 bedroom holiday cottage to guests. We often have bookings from large family groups attending a birthday and wedding or walking and cycling groups who want to get to together and enjoy a weekend in the beautiful local area around the River Manifold. ... more   less
