Superb service level. Incredibly attentive. Room service very swift and efficient. Beds v comfortable. Log fires on constantly with pillows plumped ready on the couches. Breakfast superbly cooked. Dinners superb as well. Only downside: we were there for three days and the four-choice menu did not change

This is a lovely hotel in spectacular surroundings. Our room was beautiful with great views. Unfortunately our stay was spoilt by the restaurants total inability to deal with vegetarians. Not an unusual dietary requirement these days. We made it very clear on booking that we would require a vegetarian menu and were told this wouldn’t be a problem. In my experience this usually means it won’t be a problem as we keep a separate vegetarian menu or it won’t be a problem as we always have vegetarian options on our menu. Neither was the case, and bear in mind this is a Michelin starred restaurant. Covid is not an excuse as we were told the hotel hadn’t suffered very much with staff shortages and every other place we have been to recently has had no problem with vegetarian options. My husband was given a printed menu and I had two courses read out to me from a piece of paper. I was not afforded the courtesy of a printed menu. There were no choices, , 2 out of 3 courses consisted of artichoke and were essentially plates of vegetables, eventually the restaurant manager told me that the second artichoke dish could be replaced with shallots, I was made to feel this was a great favour. I felt l very awkward indeed and neither of us enjoyed our evening, or the next evening when I was told I was very honoured that the chef had made two vegetarian dishes for me!! Speechless. One was essentially vegetables with an egg yolk on top and the other was a fairly heavy lasagne dish. My husbands menu barely changed over the two nights, and was not in any way a Michelin worthy menu, something we have been lucky enough to experience many times in many restaurants in various parts the world. I am very happy to accept that a restaurant doesn’t cater for vegetarians, I don’t need to go there. But please be honest and say this is the case, we could have found many other places to stay where vegetarians are catered for imaginatively and enjoyably. As indeed they should be in this day and age of climate concerns. A great shame, we will not return.

Beautiful hotel with the friendliest and most attentive staff. We have been to the hotel twice before but this was the first time since the new owners had taken over but we saw no detriment at all… remains a very special place with stunning food, service and in the most gorgeous setting!

We stayed here a few months ago, and have such happy memories of our stay. Eriska is a magical place, we were very fortunate to be upgraded to the Spa Suite. The grounds on the island are amazing, I wish we had booked more than one night to explore them fully. The Michelin starred restaurant was excellent and our dietary requirements were no problem. The staff we met were so kind, friendly and nothing was too much trouble- particular thanks to Claire and Emiliano who made our stay the best it could be. I would highly recommend the Eriska to others, we will be returning!

We had been touring and wanted to find a relaxing hotel where we could chill. The Isle of Eriska has it all Superb service where nothing is too much trouble. We arrived in torrential rain and our reception was both caring and efficient. There are lovely sitting areas with log fires and always plenty of room. A great bar and dining room and bedrooms large with our T V within a mirror!, Food at dinner was excellent as were the breakfasts. There is a spa etc and lovely walks around the wee island Just go and you will not regret it We look forward to returning
