Whilst it's location is fantastically close to the botanical gardens (a must-see in Bedugul!), this accomodation didn't offer much else. The staff hardly spoke any English, the sheets were torn and old and my friend and I didn't use the bathroom out of fear during our time there. The toilet overflowed onto the floor everytime it was flushed! It's a pity, as the outside of the rooms are beautiful and it would be a lovely location to stay if given an upgrade.
Firstly, this is not a homestay. This is a motel. A hugely overpriced motel. The room was grim, dingy and stank of mould. The bedding smelt dirty and had hairs on it from the previous occupant. The walls are thin so any noise in the adjoining rooms can be heard clearly. Furnishings: one TV (broken). The bathroom was even worse. Damp, smelly, crawling with cockroaches and slugs. No hot water in the tap. Very weak, lukewarm shower. I wasn't informed that breakfast was included so I missed out, although from reading other reviews it apparently is. But if it's anything like the accommodation it would unhygienic and unsatisfying anyway. Avoid like the plague.
The accommodation is simple and basic, even though a little TLC such as keeping the bathroom & toilets clean could make a huge difference! We enjoyed the local breakfast of Nasi Goreng and Mie Goreng which was provided during our stay. The staffs are friendly and tried their best in accommodation our request; such as providing extra blankets and towels. The trick to get the hot water shower to the warmest is to lower down the water pressure. Basically you pay for what you get!
The rooms are so dingy - hairs in the bed, cigarette burns in the sheet, floor very dirty and bathroom hasn't been cleaned for a very(!) long time! Toilet was just disgusting. No toilet paper and no water basin so you have to use the shower to wash your hands and your feet get wet every time. There is no window glasses so there is a terrible draught and it's quite cold. For breakfast they serve candied tee, two slices of white bread and fake marmalade.
It's a nice place clean and new building.. have a lot space for parking. Really close with eka karya botanic garden. Also they have hot water inside.. for sure I'll go there again to spend my weekend.
Pelangi Cottage is good for one or two nights, but not for longer. It was the cheapest accomodation we could find in Bedugul and it was very basic, as expected. Too bad, the bathroom was not very clean. Staff is kind though and they help you immediately if you need anything.
I love that place because it´s clean, nice and cheap. Usually hotels in the same category in Bali are almost disgusting, but this one is good. For that price it´s great solution to stay there if you are planning to be in Bedugul only one or two nights.
Very basic accommodation. Pay for what you get. Good location Didn't have a towel or toilet paper. When we asked, we only received 1 towel. Very dirty bathroom. Hair clogging drain and moulds growing. Saw cockroaches in the bathroom and work up to mouse poo and chewed shoes.
