We went to Waterfall Treehouse Cabins aka Waterfall Villas (that's what the sign on the road to the property said) for a weekend outing. Our check-in time was 2 PM but when we reached there, the staff was not prepared to have guests. They messed up with our reservations (we paid the full amount a day before arriving at the property). The person in charge told us to wait until he sorted things out with the owner. We waited for at least an hour before we were even shown a cabin but then to our dismay we found out that the cabins had no basic amenities (read bathrooms). Now I am not a complaining sort but they only had one common bath plus toilet for guests and staff alike. There was just one room which had attached bathroom so we requested the person in charge to give us that instead (we were four of us and we didn't mind sharing it amongst us). He again called up the owner to seek permission so finally one of us called the owner and at last we were told that we could have the room on paying another $30. Now let me say that we were already paying $60 for each cabin. I have stayed in better places nearby at less than half the cost and a similar view. And hence, the first part of the title of my review, OVERPRICED. And this brings to the second part of my title. The bed sheets, pillows, pillow covers and everything in there was stained. The doors didn't lock until we pushed them real hard. The curtains didn't cover up the wood framed glass doors. In fact, some windows didn't even have curtains on them. So we said goodbye to privacy that night. The food was not to die for. We ordered a tomato and cheese jaffle and a sweet potato coconut curry. However, the jaffle came with negligible amount of cheese and the curry had no sweet potatoes. On asking the person in charge he said the sweet potatoes were cut very small. The only good thing about the place was the view during the sunset. That's what we enjoyed the most. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to go to this place again. I expected a at least a decent night after seeing the pictures on the web but I was thoroughly disappointed.…
We will never forget our few days in our waterfall treehouse. We freaked out abit at first trying to find it but was well worth getting lost for 30 mins. They are not luxury. Kinda basic to be honest but all you need. The view is superb and the infinity pool awesome. Easy 30 min hike to waterfall. The food was nice. Nothing fancy but no complaints. We had great weather but I imagine it may not be as pleasant in the rain. The small road down to the property is bumpy thats for sure. All in all it was great. I wish we were still there
