I don't think you could find a more charming B&B. Le Cottage is set in converted farm buildings in the tiny village of Chaudeay-le-Chateau. It's a great place to call home while you explore the beautiful Burgundy region. Scarlett and Philippe are gracious hosts who did a great job of helping us with restaurant recommendations and general orientation to the...

I must admit, this cottage was continuously mentioned or brought during our chats with my BF throughout our trip in France. We really love this place and was sooo happy we got the chance to stay there. The room was well organized and Scarlett & Philippe was very very welcoming. She pointed some very nice restaurants and don't hesitate to...

We only stayed one night on our way to Italy. We had a lovely clean room with a little patio if we wanted to sit outside. Breakfast was very good with home made cake, yoghurt and jams. We stayed with our 3 young children in April 2015. Our room was beautiful, clean, and smelled good. The surrounding area was serene and peaceful (a great place to go for a morning run or bike ride!). Scarlet and Philipe were wonderful--warm and welcoming, with a delicious, homemade breakfast, including freshly-baked pastries and homemade yogurt and jams/jellies (compote). They were...

We used Le Cottage du Chateau as one of our bases for exploring the Beaune area. The room we had was quiet and clean and very roomy. A little table outside the room was very nice to enjoy the warm evenings. Nice breakfast (with delicious homemade yogurt!), and helpful and friendly owners made this an extra nice. Took a morning...

We spent 3 nights at this charming B&B. Large comfortable room with updated bathroom. Home baked croissants, breads and jams at breakfast. Our hosts were very kind and helpful, welcoming and pleasant. The location is stunning and a wonderful base from which to explore the Beaune area.

It seems like a little hideaway from all the daily noises. Beautiful rooms, decorated with love and taste which make you dive straight away in the culture and traditions of this magnificent wine region. Scarlett and Philippe are fulfilling more then the expected with their caring and hospitality. An amazing breakfast was waiting for us four next to the rose...

Three couples stayed at Le Cottage for two night during October 2014. Scarlett and Philippe could not have been more welcoming and worked hard to ensure that we all enjoyed our stay with them. Wonderful hosts, beautiful location, I wish we had know how wonderful this place is, we would have planned to stay longer. We shall be back. A remote village but actually not that far from the autoroute. Yes, an excellent stopover but don't underestimate the allure of a return trip.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
"Le Cottage du Chateau" is an old barn built in 1830 and completely renovated in the heart of Chaudenay small Burgundy village of 45 inhabitants. It is a quiet and restful place in the middle of nowhere at the foot of "Chateau de Chaudenay". The spacious rooms have been restored each with a different theme. They are all equipped with shower or bath and private toilets, a kettle to make a coffee, tea or verbena and TV. A garden is at your disposal with tables, parasols and sun loungers. The Burgundy Canal, the vineyards and its prestigious wines, Beaune, castles to visit remnants of a past or the Dukes of Burgundy have left their footprints (Dijon) are a few kilometers. We want to favor the tranquillity of this place so that our hosts feel good. ... more   less
