River Caravan is a camping spinoff of Lapin Lomamokit, which is a family owned and run business that was established in 2007. We have 15 caravan parking places with electricity and approximately 10 sites where you can pitch your tent. The site is located on a picture perfect bend of the Muonio river which is also Finland's border with Sweden. The campsite is some 100 meters from the E8 road.

Stayed over for a night. It would not have been more. No handsoap at the toilet, no handdesinfector. Only one (Kind of)water toilet at the whole camp.. Two «cabintoilets», without light, sink or any type of handwash/des. The watertoilet ran out of toiletpaper as well 😅 Two cabins with shower and sauna, one for each gender. The one for woman was small and full of stuff. If I was to shower at the same time as someone else it would have been very intimate.. Hard to find a place to throw our garbage. But there was two garbage bins at the side of the watertoilet. No type of registration at the arrival or when we left. (During this coronatimes..? Or if something happens??) LOTS of mosquitos. Even if we were careful, holding both windows and door shut, I’m sure we killed 150 mosquitos inside during night... Plus for free use of washingmaschine and dryer. Plus for smiling owners. Plus for a cosy view at the side of the river. Plus for toys the kids could use. Even though a few plus, we cannot recommend this camp for a nights sleep. …
