We come here every year at the end of August when it is much quieter and the atmosphere is so very relaxed and laid back. The site is on the banks of the river Cher and 200 yards from the chateau of Chenonceau, so very tranquil. Food is served in the bar with occasional themed evenings and music, (Kath on...

On arrival, my wife wasn't impressed with what appeared to be an itinerant camp only a hundred meters or so from the campsite. However I can say happily that I heard of nothing to discourage visitors to this lovely site, and she forgot all about it and had a great time during our four day stay. In a fantastic location...

We stayed here with friends on 19th August as a stopover on our way back from further South in France. Initially site looks very pleasant and we booked for 3 nights, pitched our caravans and started to relax. OK, so it was August and we expected it to be busy but quite honestly, there are far too many pitches for...

We stopped here for 4 nights on the way back from the Dordogne. As soon as i pulled in i loved it, the campsite is on the edge of a beautiful river and is in a quiet location. A short walk away is a beautiful Chateaux, or you can launch your canoe of the campsite like us and have a...

We stopped at this campsite on our way down for one night - arrived without booking and the girl at the reception was very helpful in setting us up. We ended up at a wonderful spot by the river. The location is brilliant - a walk away from the château, the river makes it quite special. There's a grown-up pool...

Great campsite with good sized open pitches . Clean and tidy Shower and Toilet facilities and nice pool to cool off in. Food cooked by John the owner (excellent) and bar area. We travelled to Loire Valley as part of a 2 week trip around France in July 2015. I had not booked any sites and on the morning of...

We've stayed here a couple of times over recent years and this was the first stay outside of school holidays without our children. It is very sleepy and relaxing place. Our pitch was facing onto the River Cher and the pitches are spacious (for our tent) with hookup and water tap close by. The toilet/shower facilities are good and clean....

Hi, This campsite is one of the best in France for our taste. Pitches are of a generous size, the toilet and shower facilities are superb. The swimming pool is great. We took the canoe down the river to Chenonceaux, there is also fishing The bar and food were good and there is a small shop area. The site was...

We stayed as a family of 5 with children ranging from 6-13 for a week. What a wonderful find this was. The washing facilities were always clean (with loo paper provided a plus), the hot air balloons every morning and evening were fabulous. The children loved the pool and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Delicious bread and...

We used Le Moulin fort as a stopover on the way North, we loved the friendly welcome and the spacious and relaxed nature of the site. Yes there are trains nearby but these didn't disturb us. The pitch was dry and clean and the washrooms had all the facilities you needed and were clean and tidy. The Pain au Raisin...
