We have just enjoyed 10 days half board at the Apollon, staying in the annex. Whilst the rooms are very basic, they are kept spotlessly clean. We were, however, disappointed at the view that everyone says is breathtaking as our view was one of the...More

The transfer is around 30 to 40 minutes if it’s direct. A taxi costs around 40 euros but is worth it. There are many restaurants and tavernas in paleokastritsa and the Apollon is at the furthest end of the resort, so expect to walk to them. However they are not far and there is a good selection to choose from.
The beaches are sand but there are stones and rocks when you go in the water. You can buy swimming slip on shoes from the local stalls or shops ranging from about 6 euros. It’s worth getting these as there are quiet a few Black Sea urchins!
Hope this helps
