Just returned from a weeks holiday in benitses Corfu. The area is stunning with a beautiful beach and harbour and a wonderful strip of bars, restaurants and shops along the front and all on the flat. We chose the hotel le mirage after researching trip...More
After having read so many excellent things about this hotel, I went with a feeling there must be something which is not so great. But gladly I must say, that the reviews didn’t lie. The breakfast is a little poor, but you cannot expect fruits...More
Good place to stay with family - clean rooms and helpful personal, nice pool, sunbeds. Cheap and tasty evening meals (3 courses for 10€, children 5€). Everything you need is close - shops, restaurants, farmacy, beaches, car rental etc.
I spent a wonderful day relaxing in Greece, on Corfu Island, and the rest would not be so great if the hosts of the Hotel Le Mirage, located in Benitses, 11 km from Kerkira to the south, did not win. Hotel Le Mirage is a...More

There is a beach just across the road from the hotel, next to the harbour. It is quite shallow (like most beaches on the island) and can be noisy from the road and it isn't sandy. There is a beach just past the marina (turn left out of the hotel) which is a bit further away from the road and has very clear water for seeing fish but the sun loungers there are quite uncomfortable. The beach at the other end of Benitses (turn right out of the hotel and carry on past all the shops) has the comfiest sun loungers and is worth the walk (about 15 minutes) if you are spending the whole day on the beach. All the beaches in the area are shingle/pebble. If you are looking for a good sandy beach, get the bus to Agios Georgios from the square by the hotel, about a 30/40 minute bus ride.
