My wife and I stayed in The Red Barn with our 2 sons (1 and 3 years old). The setting was perfect for a family get away and ideally located for exploring the fantastic Cornish coastline. Conrad and Karen were excellent hosts providing an abundance of literature to help you find your way around. On arrival there were fresh eggs,... More

We stayed at the Red Barn, the smaller of the two properties July 2015. It was a wonderful week of pottering around Devon and Cornwall, going to all the lovely places Conrad and Karen had recommended. We stayed with our two year old daughter, who loved the huge garden, the secret playhouse, the chickens and the trampoline. The barn is... More

We had such a brilliant time staying the The Red Barn - such a beautifully appointed space with an absolutely massive garden to boot. The kids loved checking for eggs in the mornings and pottering down to lane to the trampoline. Very good recommendations in the visitors book of the best beaches to visit nearby, such stunning scenery! Karen and... More

We stayed in the Red Barn at Venn Farm in October half term 2015 with our two daughters. Red Barn is the smaller cottage with two bedrooms downstairs and a really nice (and cosy in October) open plan kitchen, diner, living room. We have stayed in many different cottage rentals in Cornwall and this was definitely the nicest we've stayed... More

My boys (5 and 3) loved biking down the lane, collecting the eggs, playing in the garden. It is an excellent location for trips to the beaches and down the north Cornish coast. Rock pools at Sandymouth was a particular favourite. We will definitely be visiting again. The owners could not be more helpful they even lent us wetsuits and... More

This was just the most prefect half-term break imaginable. We stayed in Red Barn, beautifully decorated and well equipped, and the ideal layout for a family with it's large open plan living room/kitchen and deck overlooking the large garden. It has a gorgeous setting - long private drive and lots of places for the children to explore. The chickens were... More

The accommodation provided at Venn Farm by Conrad & Karen are exceptional holiday homes. There are many little touches to the houses that make you feel like you're in a home away from home. We have had the pleasure of staying in the Red Barn twice already and we know that we will return again. This lovely little spot on... More

This was our second stay at venn farm and we were not disappointed, even in a cold February. The owners karen and conrad have two stunning places to stay. They are the most stylish holiday cottages I have found, without staying in a boutique hotel. They have been really thoughtful with what they have done. It is a great place... More

Our 2 families (with 4 children) stayed at Venn farm at the end of March for one week. The weather was fairly horrible but we had the most wonderful time, mostly because the house was completely perfect. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the decor was exactly as we liked and the chickens were endlessly entertaining. We will certainly be back!... More

We've just returned from a week in the delightful Red Barn at venn farm. Our nearly-2-year-old loved the chickens which roamed around the garden. Over time he learnt to calm down and they'd peck grass from his hand - such happiness! Karen and Conrad have created a lovely home from home, beautifully decorated, wonderfully restored/repurposed, wet-suits and buckets and spades... More

“All the rooms here are great - the kids room with the built in bunk beds would no doubt be a big hit with kids (our daughter is still in a cot and she absolutely loved it - I can only imagine how much more she would love it if she was sleeping in the bunk beds).”
