We are ourselves owners of a small hotel so are always eager to see how others fare in the business. I recon Brian does exceptionally well. The B&B is in anhistoric building but has been updated in a refereshinly relaxed way. Lots of light in the room and neutral colors that Kelly Hoppen would be proud of! No clutter and...

Was recommended this B&B by friends as I was attending their wedding at Langley Castle - Brian very kindly suggested I leave my car at the castle and he'd run me up in the morning to pick it up, to save me the taxi fare. Great welcome, very comfortable room, great breakfast the next day. Really good value, would stay...

Stayed here for one night during a coast 2 coast bike ride, the owner was straight away very friendly and helpful at getting are bikes locked away, and showing us to a very spacious and well accommodated room looking over the bridge and river. The breakfast choice was excellent hot or cold. The owner was very helpful and chatty and...

Myself and relatives recently spent 3 nights, reserving both first floor rooms. We found the accommodation to be both clean and spacious, and the beds very comfortable, which was great after spending long days walking the wall. Brian made us feel very welcome and couldn’t have been more helpful with his knowledge of the local area. He also cooks a...

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Great room. Lovely breakfast. Great location as we attended a wedding at Langley castle. Brian even drove us up to castle in the morning to collect our car! He couldn't have been more helpful. Would recommend to anyone x

I don't recognise the property from the recent negative review. We had a great room with all the facilities one could expect. Breakfast was excellent. A highlight was Brian's hospitality, especially his local knowledge of Haydon Bridge and Hadrian's Wall. As a result we visited a section of Wall we otherwise would not have known about.

Great location. Lovely peaceful view across the footbridge-great for people watching. Fruit, yoghurt and full English breakfast was wonderful. Room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Brian was very helpful. He allowed us to borrow his ordinance survey map and gave us excellent tips on how to get the best from our Hadrian's wall experience.

I did in fact wonder if we were in the right place as this bore no resemblance to either its photo of rather lovely hanging baskets at the front door or any of the positive comments posted. It was a tatty building, in need of some attention; a dreary, functional B&B. Clean. No pictures in bedroom or any attention to...
