Inverstrae offers B and B accommodation where you're made to feel like one of the family. The highlights for me were the excellent evening meal provided by Ina, and lovely walks in the beautiful area around the house. Staying here for one night was a great start to our holiday and we learned a lot about the local area from...

This B&B is in a beautiful location with magnificent 360 deg views. We stayed here at the start of a cycling holiday and left our car here to collect when we stayed on our return. We were made extremely welcome by Jim & Ina and made to feel like part of the family, the welcome even extending to a gin...

It was a pleasure to help these guests plan their cycling holiday by providing safe parking for their vehicle while they explored Argyll and some Hebridean islands by bicycle. A G&T helped relax tired and fairly wet muscles before dinner in the comfortable surroundings of Inverstrae Bed & Breakfast.

I stayed here for 4 nights while walking nearby mountains. This B and B was so good that it is difficult to know where to begin with my praise! First, the welcome. it couldn't have been warmer. Jim and Ina who run the place are genuinely interested in their guests and this soon became evident. Possibly some people may find...

This guest chose to visit Inverstrae in what turned out to be the most severe weather of the 2015 winter and it was important to ensure the best of comfort for him following taxing and difficult days on the mountains around us. In the pursuit of his hill walking interests he has gained an extensive experience of guesthouses and B&B's...

I hiked a long way to this B&B and it was worth it for the spectacular location and generous hospitality. Jim & Ina were excellent and interesting hosts and I relished Ina's soup and steak & kidney pie after a long day. A memorable haven off the beaten track.

We stayed with Jim and Ina recently and felt so welcomed. The views from every window in their B&B were truly stunning. We could lay in our bed curtains open (no neighbours) and the mountains were in full view. So sunset and sunrise were spectacular. They are so strategically placed for Munro Bagging and to be able to soak our...

To receive another review praising our facilities, service and our location is very gratifying and encouraging for us. It is like fuel for our motor to receive reviews like this and motivates us in our constant effort to give our guests a totally comfortable, hospitable and memorable stay at Inverstrae in the midst of our wonderful surroundings.

This was the most amazing BnB I've ever been too. The property was located on a remote hill, in the centre of a huge glenn, surrounded by hairy cows and sheep with stunning, 180 degree views. The cooking was better than what you'd find at a high-end restaurant and the little details like the tea in the rooms, really made...

It was a pleasure to host this Canadian / Scottish group at Inverstrae. They experienced the jaw dropping location of our home, which to us , demands the best in service and cuisine to match our environment. This calls for considerable attention to detail and the best ingredients for our menus so to receive praise such as given in this...

James and Ina are a friendly couple who gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed drinks together, and Ina's delicious home-cooked meal. Our room was nice and the bed very comfy. The location of the b&b, between the hills and sheep, makes you forget the rest of the world. We immensely enjoyed our stay and warmly recommend Inverstrae.

These Dutch guests were welcome visitors to our Highland Home and we are very appreciative of both their review and the comments left in our Visitors Book. They took advantage of our packed lunch service which they say "came in very handy after a wet, windy and shivery descent from Cruachan Dam". Even in summer these conditions can occur up...

These guests enjoyed a week at Inverstrae. “It was a B&B so I cannot comment regarding Hotel Style. We did have a large bedroom with ensuite facilities. Very clean and quiet and conveniently placed for sightseeing, and close to Oban for the odd ferry trip. Food excellent standard and Ina even packed us a pack lunch and filled our flasks.”
