Went for a family meal on a Sunday evening. Food and service was really good. The Sunday roast and steak pie were really good quality. It was busy but the staff were really good and food arrived really quickly which is always good when with kids. The restaurant is in a nice setting too being just next to the Boat of Garten station where you can see the steam trains.

In feudal Japan when their Lords & Ladies had to travel between major cites small 'Post Towns' sprung up to accommodate weary travellers in Ryokens (Japanese Inns). Walking Scotland has many benefits for those who travel the 'Speyside Way' for 'Post Towns' read Aviemore, Boat of Garten, Nethybridge etc all the way to Buckie. My wife & I were welcomed at the 'Boathouse' BnB, in Boat of Garten, after cycling to Aviemore & back hot showers & soft beds were the order of the day with a huge breakfast to set us up for our return journey North. This is definitely the place to stay with only bird song to disturb your morning, go for it.

Very clean b&b and very friendly staff Who made us very welcome and were very helpful when I had to change my booking situation due to a friend pulling out. The breakfast was excellent and we were always asked if we wanted more. Beds were very comfortable, a good stock of tea and coffee in the room. Nothing we could complain about will recommend to others and will definitely stay again.

We stayed in the ground floor family room, would usually expect a double and single or bunks but this was 3 twins . It was a little cramped for 3 of us and 2 dogs. Dogs are welcome tho, which is great and a woodland trail is a few metres down the road . Breakfasts were good and certainly substantial. Boat of Garten has a pub and a super restaurant both just down the road .
