I stayed for one night and got an excellent deal for bed and breakfast after long work day, staying over to break up the long journey home. It is on a corner, with parking at the front, side and around the back. Old Malton is east to get to from the major roads, and just round the corner if you are visiting Eden Camp. Even better, when I arrived I got a nice welcome and was upgraded to the ensuite double room. I guess they weren't very busy. The room itself was nice - not very big, but had a double wardrobe and a bit of space for a bag, away from the double bed, then there was the decent ensuite shower room with toilet, basin and square shower cubicle. All the fittings were good and the electric shower was fine. All was good, with the exception of the odd creaky floorboard. Even the bed was okay - definitely firm, but not uncomfortable. They supplied towels and those little soap bars, so you will need to bring shower gel and such like (I did). My only issue was that this lovely old building has old single-glazed sash windows, and you hear every ingle passing car. My room (#1, I think) looked onto the main road and traffic did start from 6am (when I first noticed it). With thin curtains, once awake I struggled to get back to sleep. Perhaps ask for a room not on the main road. Breakfast was the usual full English type of thing, with some cereals, toast and orange juice also available, but all very nicely done. So, it's good if you are a heavy sleeper!

We stayed one night, we had a small twin room with bathroom across the hall. We thought private bathroom meant en suite. It was not an issue. The room was quite small, 2 single beds a desk and a chair, plus hanging space. In need of a bit of an update, but actually adequate for our needs. We ate our evening meal there, as a coeliac I was well catered for, including gluten free bread and burger buns. The food was nice plain pub fare home cooked. The breakfast was also very nice. Would stay again but possibly pay for a larger room with en-suite.

Very disappointed with this stay. Room was very tired and I have to say dirty. Food was below average at best (chef skills were very limited). Worst of all was the extreme noise from the bar area until 1.30 am from the Elvis tribute singer. It was so noisy you could feel the vibration from the music in the bed and hear very clearly conversations from the bar through the floor. To top it all, there was a scuffle/fight right outside our window as the locals left. Breakfast was good and the bar staff worked very hard to give good service, however, if we’d been informed of the potential for noise beforehand we’d have not booked. I’ve stayed in better places in India than this and I don’t count myself as a snob. Be warned about staying here!

Just stayed here one night which I think was enough but maybe 2 nights at a stretch. The staff are lovely, we had an evening meal there & breakfast & we cannot fault the food at all as it was lovely. The room we had was number 6 & there is some sort of a motor that woke us up at 3am & a couple of more times after that so our nights sleep was spoiled. The bed was ok but only a double size & they could do with having a king size as the room is big enough to take it. The room needs updating a little & they also need to keep up with the small things. There were prominent cobwebs in the room, one of the curtains was partially hanging down as there were hooks missing, the ceiling above the shower was mouldy, the blind in the en-suite could do with replacing but otherwise ok.

We stayed at Wentworth Arms Malton for 2 nights. From the moment we arrived to check in we were warmly welcomed. Its a family run accommodation and pub with every family member and other staff being very friendly. We had excellent meals and the homemade food was delicious. My food intolerances were catered for and nothing was too much trouble. We had a good night sleep before our breakfast of tasty bacon sausage etc. We can't wait to come back here as a base to explore the North Yorkshire moors. We'll done staff and family.

Stayed here for one night, when we arrived it was about 4 o'clock. We travelled with some friends, was shown to our room by a nice gentleman. Our friends had the first room, we were shown to our room. There was a fan going and we were told it would be turned off at 10.00. The room wasn't at all nice, really needed a lick of paint and a lot of T.L.C. One of the curtains had 2 curtain hooks in it , one end tied up with string. The bathroom was an absolute disgrace, can't imagine who would get into that shower it was horrendous. The grout and silicone were black and mouldy. The fan that we were told would go off at 10.00, was on and off all night, and we had a terrible sleep. The bedroom was also absolutely freezing. The only good point was the bed. It was so comfy and the bedding was lovely and clean. Went down for breakfast to the breakfast room, was not very nice and was also very cold. There was cereal and orange juice. We were brought tea and half a slice of toast each. There was no menus but were asked if we wanted cooked breakfast. We all had a cooked breakfast which was poor, very greasy mushrooms, half a hard tomato which I'm not sure had seen a pan. None of us really enjoyed our breakfast and to be honest we just wanted to get out of there. We got our bags and left, will definitely not be returning.

We needed a place to stay for one night after a day out at Flamingo Land. After googling B&Bs this came up as the most reasonably priced for myself my partner and our 15 year old daughter. emails were answered promptly, politely and efficiently. Room was lovely, clean and beds were really comfortable we all had a really good nights sleep As we were arriving late staff booked us a table in the pub restaurant food was amazing portions were huge. Breakfast was freshly made and very tasty, but one thing overall stood out for us and that was the staff. The bar staff on the evening of our stay were friendly, cheerful and extremely helpful and efficient the pub was busy but there was no waiting or delays. the lady who cooked and served our breakfast was just as friendly and cheerful even though it was early morning and she was doing both the cooking and the serving by herself. there was no waiting or delays and food was delicious. thank you for making our stay so enjoyable (we were exhausted) we will definitely be back again our 15 year old wants to try the chicken burger.

Stayed here overnight to enable visit to nearby Eden Camp. Check in was reasonably okay via the pub. Our room had poor decor with old sticky pine furniture. The old sticky wardrobe only had one handle on one of the doors making it difficult to open the other door. It desperately needed updating. There were cracked tiles in the bathroom and only one bedside lamp. The loud traffic noise was drowned out by the ringing of the very close church bells on the hour every hour through out the night. Not a good nights sleep. The breakfast was poor. No choice, no menu, no yoghurt. I will not stay here again.
