We hadn't camped for many years so chose Midsummer as it was only a 45 minute drive from home, and it was a small site. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay as it was really quiet, relaxing and the site was extremely well maintained. Electricity was metered and only cost 82p for our stay. There was plenty of space between tent pitches and the site had all the amenities we required. The only drawback was the water pressure in one of the toilets was low which made it hard to flush. We would recommend Midsummer to anyone wanting a quiet camp site in a pleasant location.

Earlier this month (Oct ‘20) we booked in at a site near the coast just south of Scarborough for 4 nights. We paid for all, stopped for 1 night and left the next morning in discussed (Websites can be false) We thought of the options, and having stopped at Midsummer last year, drove there in our camper and asked if there was a pitch available. Alison was seeing to a new customer and told us there was 1 available pitch, which we took thinking of stopping for 1 night and then moving in. However, after stopping 1 night we stopped another and then a 3rd night!!!! It was such a pleasure to stop there, use the immaculately clean facilities and have the pleasant owners there to help when needed...... What more do you want from a campsite?? Alison could easily charge more for this site!!!!!!!! We will be back Mark and Paula.

My wife and I with our friends stayed here for a week. The location is excellent, it is kept immaculately clean and tidy by Alison and Martin, who are extremely helpful from helping caravanners do repairs to Campers. Both are happy to chat and offer information about the area of which they are very knowledgeable. Facilities are good.

We had a nice stay at midsummer. It was very clean and Alison and Martin were pleasant and helpful and both worked very hard to keep things looking nice. Something that bothered us was the water tower which made a lot of noise at night.. to be fair with the general quiet noise of the campers it was hard to notice in the day, but in the quietness of night it disturbed both ours and our friends sleep. The site is also on a busy road, but of course that is not the campsite fault more the people who think it’s ok to speed along day and night. Overall this campsite is well located, clean and friendly... keep up the good work and keep those hens laying their eggs were lovely. Tracey and Richard
