Bit late with this review, but do remember the warmth of the welcome, the room that was just right, a good breakfast the following morning and a pleasantly small bill at the end of it!. It would make a good base to visit Beamish Museum as its only up the road.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here. I looked up the reviews and called to book for 2 nights. I spoke to the owner of the hotel who was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived about 8pm Friday night and was greeted with a friendly smile and a little banter. The room was clean and warm. It...

Just came back from another terrific stay at the Ball Alley. Micheal and Lyndsey look after you from breakfast in the morning to the cleanliness of the rooms in which you sleep. We can't rate them highly enough. Will definitely be back soon

This pub has a lovely warmth and they care for the guests, have only been doing B and B for 4 Years. Breakfast in pub lounge and...
