We stayed here on an escapes.ie deal for one night. First impression is that the outside of the hotel looks good but as soon as you walk in you begin to get a little worried as the reception area is pretty dated and on walk to the lift (which only goes to the first floor - not a major deal...

What could be a lovely hotel, sadly suffering big neglect. No lounge area for residents to sit relax & enjoy a drink.. Dining area lacks atmosphere & looks uninviting. No bar , just an extension of dining room. Rooms are small, dark with very small corner showers. & electrics don't work properly. Staff are excellent & friendly & the food...

My wife and I nearly always consult Trip Advisor before booking a hotel except this one time when we availed of a one night stay plus 3 course meal for e129.00. When we saw the reviews after booking, we were tempted to simply cancel. The hotel is rundown, seriously understaffed and our room was narrow and dark. In addition, we...

I was concerned about some of the reviews about this Hotel but I am glad to say It has its faults but I was far from disappointed and would definitely visit it again. First of all the staff are first class. They really go out of their way to help you as best they can. I can understand why other reviewers...

We took the opportunity of a weekend break (two night stay) with escapes.ie and we're sorry we did! The noise levels were unbelievable! Between the bar and the people outside the shouting & people hanging around till 4am! Not a place for a family or someone trying to relax. There was a lot of issues with the food. It was...

Was very disappointed with my visit to the house hotel. We ate in the bar, waited quite a bit for menus to be brought to table, asked for jug of water- got one with two glass there was 5 at the table? Had to ask for cutlery. I order the chicken fillet burger , arrived out on a wooden board...

Bed was small, bath was dirty, no plasma TV just a small 21" box with some channels not working, pillows were flat no extra pillows in the room, very old fashioned room, food was only okay as i had told the people taking the orders that i had allergies but sauces and salad dressings that I could not eat still came...

We stayed in a family room, which was antiquated. The bathroom was deplorable with old fittings, old and worn out. The tiles in the shower were painted, the sink, was microscopic in comparison with the size of the bathroom. The shower head lead leaked continuously and the towels were thread bear. The complimentary coffee in the room had crystallized and...

Stopped for lunch on our way to Dungarvan. There was a carvary available in a large room at the back. The ambiance was not good. Very impersonal looking space. We decided to sit in the bar area and order from the bar menu. Considering the look from the outside, one would expect a more inviting interior. It is not decorated...

Stayed with friends in Lismore for a long weekend. This was our first visit and we were touched by its beauty and friendliness of the locals. As we had been looked after and taken on trips, we took our friends for a meal on our last night. The Lismore House Hotel offered a very good menu choice, and the food was...
