While Gaylord National offers a spectacular view of the Potomac and Washington's skyline, it's the building itself that is a pleasant surprise. The atrium is a traveler's delight with its small village atmosphere at the lower lever which can be seen from all the interior rooms. There are a wide ranges of activities including shopping, libations, dining both casual and... More

Just stayed here again over this past weekend (Nov 29/30, 2014). This place is always amazing but at Christmas, it is over the top with thee most incredible decorations, lights, things to do, etc. Always book an atrium view room, the light show in the evening is breathtaking. There is something here for everyone. A pool for the kids, a... More

I have stayed here multiple times and it is always nice, modern and clean. Nothing unique, but great especially if you are attending a conference here. Now that the stores are built up it's even better!

Although our reservation wasn't in their system correctly, our very courteous person checked us into the room that we had reserved. She even gave us a premium room as it was almost dead center of the atrium on the 7th floor. The moment we walked in we could see all the way across the Potomac. We had a balcony overlooking... This place is large. The rooms are large--a good thing. But the whole Gaylord concept of housing mediocre shops and restaurants and "attractions" under a huge atrium just doesn't work for me. The best aspect of this hotel is its proximity to an outdoor mall with more interesting restaurants and shops. This is also out of the way to get... More

First of all, this would be a five star rating if not for a very bad experience I had with the Santa photos. The hotel was amazing! The view overlooking the harbor was stunning. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the ICE exhibit as well as the nightly light and fountain show in the hotel Atrium. Once parked,... More

We went to the Gaylord for a short stay just before Thanksgiving. The hotel is beautiful. It has a beautiful view right on the Potomac. The staff couldn't be nicer. The show in the atrium was fun to watch. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The hotel has every amenity you could ask for. National Harbor also was interesting. There are many... More

We went here for a staycation in the heart of winter so that we could enjoying their large atrium and not have to wear jackets for the whole weekend. The staff was friendly, the rooms were great, and the atrium was awesome.

My wife and I stayed here for a happy personal experience, the promotion of our daughter in the Army. This is a large, immaculately maintained hotel with a beautiful enclosed atrium, decorated strikingly for the holidays during our visit. Everything about our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The staff and s well trained and responsive. We frequently order room service, the... More

We like to go to the Gaylord National during the holidays when it is decorated for Christmas! The children enjoy the Ice sclupures and all the decorations. This year the theme is Frosty. It is very cold in the tent so dress very warm. The hotel is very beautiful this time of year and worth visiting even if you are... More
