NOISE LEVEL: Had a suite in the 44 building, 3rd floor. There was an outdoor wedding the first night; music was extremely loud until 3 a.m. The walls are paper-thin; we could hear the music as if we were sitting next to the band.

I agree with the other responses here. Not sure if you are travelling with younger kids or as a couple. There are plenty of excursions offsite. We went with our two kids, 5 and 7, went on the Anton Valley tour with a tour bus, safe, clean and enjoyable half day excursion. We also took a private tour, land cruiser and a driver, to panama canal, old panama city and panama city, another half day excursion, reasonably priced - had no safety concerns. the private tour is geared towards your needs and we found it to be a better option. We flew sunwing and booked our excursions through the rep. Flew into Rio Hato airport and as others have mentioned, it is a very small airport with just vending machines, no stores! The resort does have a very nice Golf course, if you enjoy playing golf. It is a big resort, walking to "nearby" places is not an option, everything is at least a short drive away. We found the staff to be very friendly the hotel manager went out of the way to help us - upgraded our room, late check-out etc.
