Comfortable accommodations with space in each unit. We had 2 people and a dog and it was perfect. The cooking facilities were a kitchenette and grill outside. The full size fridge and freezer held the food we had brought with us. The solid surface floors were easy to keep clean. And the large open lawn was a nice spot to...

My husband and I stayed at the Currant Ridge Cabins for 3 nights in June. The road to the cabins has the reputation of being somewhat treacherous and we approached with some trepidation. This turned out to be completely unwarranted as we found the gravel surface to be quite well maintained. Our cabin, Kennecott, was situated high on the ridge...

The kitchen was well stocked with high quality kitchen ware, including coffee and tea. The grill on the deck was excellent and we had lovely evenings on the deck with a wonderful view. I'd recommend this lodging for anyone who wants to access McCarthy and Kennicott. The owners are environmentally friendly, as well.

Our cabin #3 was well equipped with all cooking utensils needed for us to prepare our meals including a gas grill on the back porch. The cabin was very large and we really liked its setup. From the back porch we had a great view of the Park and could hear the river flowing in the valley below. We spotted...

I recently visited Currant Ridge Cabins and spoke with the owners about their operation. The cabins were beautifully built down to the smallest detail. The grounds are well kept, and they are able to run almost the entire operation off of solar. They have a beautiful greenhouse and are contributing to the local community with fresh vegetables and local honey....

The accommodations at Current Ridge are all one might ask for. Very near the end of the McCarthy road, these lovely cabins are perched on a wooded ridge with a commanding view of the Wrangell mountains in the distance. Newly built by the owners, these cabins are fully equipped for a delightful stay. My wife and I found them to...

Current Ridge Cabins most definitely deserve the high ratings they have received. My wife and I stayed two nights in mid-June. We were very impressed! The cabins were roomy, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The staff were cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Just so you know, McCarthy is very remote. For those who depend upon staying connected to the world 24/7,...

The huge window looking out to the mountains with the sun shining in was great waking up to. We had a wonderful breakfast and relaxed...

Currant Ridge Cabins, what a treat!!!…5 star private cabins found in the middle of Alaska. As the daughters said after finding pure pleasure in walking into the cabin “now this is Glamping”!! An amazing place for adventure, exploring or just relaxing. Owned and operated by the Schidner family, who are hardworking, humor-filled, amazing travel conversationalists that are always open to...
