The surrounding area is just beautiful! The trees, the fine sand (though the water itself had alot of pebbles and rocks), and the water. Unfortunately the resort is not well kept. It is run down, no water and the toilet is just plain disgusting. Its okay if you just want to spend the afternoon in the huts for a nap....

Seriously!!! I dont want to say "stay away" coz if I do this place will surely go in the dumps. It has a lot of potential but is not well kempt. There was a restroom but no water....NO WATER for petes sake!!...we arrived a almost sundown, the resort only had a few light post. The common restroom had no light....

I am a very generous traveller with points, I can be satiesfied very fast. But this resort is runned down. Not to recommend any more to go. We went there for one night because one of my friends recommended the place. But bad to say: It must be a loooong time before. The houses are dark, dirty and full of...

It used to be a great place when the original british owner was still alive and the one managing it. Now the resort is totally mismanaged by the present caretaker and this is partly due to the internal squabble among the caretakers themselves. The good: Place is surrounded by small islands and you can do kayaking around the area, cottages...

We chose to stay here because of its isolated location--and it looked good in pictures. This may have been a gorgeous resort a few years back but now, it's a ratty place to be in. First off, the location itself may work for or against it. Have this resort been beautiful and not lacking, then its isolation would have been...

Baras Beach Resort is an amazing place. A paradise on the beach and a dirty bug-infested dump. The site is a romantic tropical dream with coral beach and traditional cabins overlooking the inlet. A site earning one star. The cabins were completely ant infested, very dirty, and termite eaten. Slamming the door of my cabin, needed to close it, brought...

Resort is in a good location but lacking in amenities and customer service is poor. We stayed for two nights and they only had chicken, shrimp and fish, despite the menu listing beef and pork offerings. The four people in our group even had to share two small bottles of Coke on our first lunch as it was all they...

No real beach. No real staff... owner looking to retire has her children, who are sweet, running the show... there are NO MANGOS at a hotel in Guimaras... for over 24 hours asked for Mangos, they could not get them. Saw some amazing wild life but can see damage of the oils spill to coral when snorkeling... food is fresh...
