Detailed Reviews
+1
If you speak Italian, you'll be better off. Only the owner's son, who worked nights, could speak English. The hotel has about 10 rooms situated around a courtyard, but has a big pool and a big restaurant. We had a nice lunch in the restaurant, despite them being out of a lot of stuff (it was past the tourist season), and despite them being very busy with what looked like a road construction crew that was working nearby. Surprisingly, they had a couple of menus in English, so we didn't need to rely on Google Translate. Unfortunately, the rooms were without had soap and cups. Any they have no laundry facilities, but they provide drying racks outside the rooms if you want to wash your clothes in the sink. Overall, it was a good value for what we wanted (specific location close to relatives).

Hello for the first time I had the misfortune to know the tanca irde for the first and last time ... never had!
The garden I must say very nice even if there is something to review such as an upgrade to the lawn and everything related to various objects and lawn, a thorough pest control because too many ant bees mosquitoes, the dirty pool like few,
The painful service from the bar to the restaurant and everything, and to the non-existent staff that almost tell you served alone...
Too expensive for what you ate, in short very expensive for what offers everything that is a hotel I have seen very little hotel I have seen a house used as a hotel to try to save themselves and make money sincerely....
However very, very disappointed,....
Definitely will not have a good publicity from me.....

One advice: stay away from this place.
We stayed here in 2007 and had one of our worst hotel experieces.
Located in a small town not far from Cagliari and the Sarroch industrial area , it looks quite ok with typical Sardinian architecture and nice swimming pool.
But once we entered, we got a preview of the rest of our stay: the woman behind the desk barely looked up .....and this lack of friendliness and service stayed with us for the 7 days of our vacation here. When one of the children broke a vase in the corridor , the hotel owner cleaned everything without a word but I was asked to pay for it at the end of my stay......on my refusal, I was threatened with the police.
Next to the lack of service, there was the breakfast..... or better, the lack of breakfast, completely unworthy for a 3 star hotel !
Really a shame that this hotel has such bad ownership, because it could be something great - the food in the restaurant is good and it is obviously a well known address in the area. You really get the impression that this is a restaurant that also rents some rooms but doesn't really give any importance to this part of their business.
Anyhow, we surely never return here, plenty of good hotels elsewhere on this island ! (f.i the Cala Luna hotel in Cala Gonone, or the extraordinary Le Anfore in Villassimius).

Response from tanca02, Proprietario at Tanca Irde
Responded 29 Sept 2009
In my quality as Tanka Irde hotel manager, I'd like to give further details left out by the guest. 1. Until the claim for the compensation for damages, the guest hasn't been remonstrating in any way with us. 2.After our claim for breaking a pottery vase of 300 euros value, the guest was in point to leave the hotel without paying neither the damage, neither, above all,the bill for the staying. Just in that moment it was necessassary calling the carabineers. Best regards

We are from Ireland and stayed here for 6 nights. We had little Italian and the owner had a little English, but we got by with our phrase book. The hotel itself is lovely - our room was clean and comfortable with fresh towels every day. The breakfast is a buffet and was great - juice, yoghurts, pastries, cakes, cold meat, bread, toast - and you can sit outside and look at the mountains as you enjoy it. We ate dinner at the restaurant there one evening too, the food and wine were delicious and the waiters had good english. The restaurant was busy every night with guests and non-guests as the food is great, but it didn't affect our stay/sleep at all. The location is excellent, it's between Pula and Cagliari, so is a 15-20 minute drive to each - perfect for exploring the beaches in the south. And it's really easy to find if you're coming from Cagliari. But the people that work there are the best part - they were really helpful and friendly. And a special thanks to the hotel owner - we had problems on our second day with our rental car and only had the italian phrase for "flat tire" - he brought us to and from the local garage, spoke to the garage owners, got on the phone and spoke to the rental car agency for us and was really really helpful, which helped us a lot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel around the south of the island, between the people, food, location and price this is a great place to stay.

We stayed at this place for a birthday, a table of 7 persone.Location quiet and clean with adjoining garden and piscina.Pizza fine, not the classic Neapolitan, very good with dough of durum wheat semolina and well seasoned. We were very satisfied, even with the service, kind, fast and friendly, we will return!
