From the pictures I have hopefully added, you'd think this was some 5 star hotel. What a pleasant surprise. I was running late and did not expect to arrive till 10:45pm, I called through and was advised that it was not an issue. I got there at just after 10:30pm and the pub was still open. Simple and quick check...

I reserved a room for me and my partner a few weeks ago as we were visiting the clarks village and then longleat the following day. We arrived just after the stated check in time to find nobody there and was all locked up.I walked around the property looking through windows and still nothing. I called the phone number on...

We had a special birthday lunch yesterday at the Walton Gateway and the food and service was superb! They served all 17 of us together, poured sparkling wine and even brought out the birthday cake for us. Mum celebrated being 84 in style thanks to our hosts! Their consideration for some of our elderly guests was really appreciated. Well done...

We were passing and decided to pop in for Lunch. We were surprised how many people were there on a Tuesday. We found a table and were then greeted by the very friendly waitress. Waited for 1/2 hour for our meal, but when it came...on super hot plates, we were very pleased with how the food was presented. My husband...

Check in was after 3.00pm, and we arrived at 4.30pm, to find everything locked. Fortunately a man (? One of the owners, he didn’t say?) came and unlocked the outside door. There’s probably a good reason for locking the door, but it’s not very welcoming. The room was fine, though a tad small – especially the shower room, where there...

Drive past this joint all the time and finally decided to eat here on a weekday evening. First of all the layout out of the dining area is a bit odd, dot know what it is but it's certainly not warm and welcoming like a lot of local pubs round here. Food was ok, nothing standout but no complaints either....

After a 5 hr drive we arrived at the Walton Gateway at 5 pm to find the premises locked up with a telephone number to call for attention. After we eventually checked in we were informed that the inclusive breakfast was served between 7.00 & 8.00am midweek. We declined breakfast because we considered that it was too early as we...

This is a good place to stay if you're visiting the outlet village, Glastonbury and Wells. We stayed three nights and were very pleased overall; the room we had was very clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. The hotel staff were friendly and the food was really delicious- our only comment would be that the portions were huge...
