Room was clean and comfortable. Very comfy bed. 24 hour bar did not exist. No room service. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. 30 minute wait for a taxi to get to the airport. Asked for a taxi that accepts card, we arrived at the airport and the driver told us it was cash only. He slowly strolled across the airport to take us to a cash machine, not understanding that we were already late due to the wait for him to arrive. All in all, hotel service is an absolute shambles.

Staff were very helpful. Nice hotel. Size of the bed, comfort of the sleep, coffee at the breakfast. Good wi-fi. Train/bus station close and takes you to Bologona central. Not much to do in the night or day around this hotel as on an industrial estate. Everything as it should be.

the hotel is a typical 4 star business hotel ideal for a 1 night stay when travelling since the area is not central, however good standard breakfast and great service, also good wifi and onsite parking

We stayed for three nights April 18 in order to go to see Roger Waters at the Unipol Arena. Concert was great - can’t say the same about this hotel. The room was small, very simply equipped and the shower room had a bad musty smell. The window was small making the room dark. The shower had folding doors which were not waterproof meaning the floor around the sink got very wet. But the worse part of the hotel was the restaurant & bar - they might as well not have been there! We dined there on the Friday night but we were rushed to sit down as they were only open for a couple of hours. There was not a proper written menu, we were told the dishes on offer and had to pick without proper details. The dish we chose was not good, but the wine was pleasant. Next day, Saturday, we were told the restaurant was closed. We don’t think it was open on Sunday either but we were not told when we checked in. The bar was tiny and not well stocked. We like rum and they ran out on Saturday night. We went to the bar on Sunday night, around 10:00 pm and told it was closed! The hotel web site says the bar is 24 hours - obviously not the case! It was not cheap to stay here - around €110 per night for bed & breakfast. On the Sunday morning there was hardly anything on offer at the buffet breakfast - no croissants, pastries, very little cake, no brown bread, only thin white for toast, no dairy products and the staff took their time refilling. The hard boiled eggs were cold and I am sure the same eggs were served the next day and possibly even the next as that is the only breakfast item that was not touched! Awful! There is another hotel that is nearer the station in Pilastrino and they have a Pizzeria as their restaurant which I am sure would be much better than the facilities offered at the Continental. Needless to say we will NEVER stay here again.

I stayed in this hotel for a business trip. It is 25 minutes taxi ride (€25 each way) from the city centre. The hotel is clean but very plain with no bar (though there is a small alcove which receptions mans). The food available in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is average at best and I would recommend eating elsewhere (if you can find somewhere). Also the gym is a small room with very few machines in it. The staff can be friendly. But I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere for a holiday and stay here strictly for businesses due to its location.

Used for Business Travel. The approach was a bit unpleasant because I was convinced I could dine but for a series of misunderstandings I had to order an takeaway pizza. The evening after I could dine, but the restaurant is at the standard of a lower class hotel. Discreet quality, but not a large menu choice and a lack of a wine menu. Breakfast. Adequate breakfast, but several paying meals (eg orange juice, fried eggs, etc.). Very good meeting rooms. Very close to the Pilatrino train stop. The train takes you directly to Bologna Centrale railway station

Response from zolacontinental, Responsabile relazioni con la clientela at Continental Urban Art Hotel
Responded 26 May 2017

If you are doing business in Zola Predosa, this is the place to stay. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room was small, yet modern and comfortable. There was a small desk that I used to work for part of the day. The breakfast was extremely good and there was a large selection of food to meet both the Italian and American palette. I took the train to the hotel and was picked up for my business meeting. If you do not have a car, I would recommend planning appropriately to have a place for dinner since the hotel restaurant is not open for dinner. In the morning I used the workout room, which was large and contained a couple of treadmills and other machines. I even worked comfortable in the lobby prior to my departure.

Stayed here for 2 days during business visit in Bologna. Reception very nice, welcomed with a smile, good English. Room (for single person, did not try others) is not the largest, but has what you need. Took a while to make the light switch (card-in) work, but sorted it out. Bed is on the hard side, but acceptable. The wifi was good, worked well, and available everywhere. Code given up-front at checkin, and no need to re-enter during the stay. At least some hotels get it by now. I could have wished for a larger tv, and some non-Italian channels. The current is like 20" placed 2,5 m up, and only has analogue signal. Bad quality, and only some 20 Italian channels. How about a little German, some French, BBC /CNN etc. No major dealbreaker. Breakfast is great, it has all you could wish for. But hint to the chef: the Americano coffee is not made as strong as the Cappuchino.. the coffee served here could wake a dead man. All in all a very pleasant stay. Close to the airport.
