We have just returned from a weeks stay at Canareef - 5th - 12th Dec. We travelled from Manchester UK via Abu Dhabi to Male. We then waited for a connecting flight to Gan airport. Upon our eventual arrival at Gan, we were greeted by a hotel representative and escorted to the speedboat. We set off across to Canareef resort - brilliant ride across! Upon arriving we were shown to the reception were we were told about the resort and its facilities, before going on a buggy to catch lunch at the Kilhi restaurant. Breakfast lunch and dinner are all buffet service with your own allocated table throughout your stay. You can pay extra for a la carte but we stuck to the all inclusive. We then got a buggy to our jacuzzi villa - 621. Amazing - upon entering it had a large bedroom/living…
We had the same situation. Room service robbed us, the guy who was cleaning our villa He stole the money from my jeans. Almost 950$ Hotel staff did nothing to help us. Skip this place! Poor standard and very far from male
During past 2 years I visited Maldives 4 times, staying in 6 resorts for at least 4 weeks. My wife and I stayed at Canareef this whole November 2022, 4 weeks on FB meal plan in Sunset Beach Villa. PROS 1. While transfer includes a local 1.5h flight and 15 minutes speedboat it was perfectly arranged by the hotel. We had minimum waiting times. 2. Villa is great. Lots of place to store your belongings, big terrace with fantastic sunsets. 3. Room cleanin service was excellent. We needed it at the same time very day and we got that. This is pretty rare. 4. Food was great. A lot of choice and staff is really trying hard to cook dishes (that are cooked in front of you) to your liking. 5. Fantastic gigantic pool. 6. Special thanks go to Mr. Shafiq Rasheed for helping with everything we…
During our last day, a young boy from room service stole $1,600 from my wallet and my family with 16month child came back from Thursday 24.11 to Saturday 26.11.2022 with $3 half away around the world-To Poland. The hotel staff behaved badly. They said they weren't responsible for it and that it wasn't their problem. They sent us with nothing to the plane. I had to borrow money from strangers at the airport for baby water and yoghurt. This place must be avoided from afar
This was our first visit to the Maldives and how lucky/fortunate were we to choose this resort…….like others have mentioned we loved its rural/rustic charm and couldn’t fault our Villa (621) which was palatial in proportions including a well furnished front deck leading to the beach/sea and a private jacuzzi at the back adjacent to the inside/outside bathroom. The level of service everywhere in the resort was second to none without fail everybody involved in our stay were friendly and welcoming but Ashraf, our Dining Room Waiter was unfailingly polite and so amusing and Ibrahim who cleaned our Villa daily was meticulous. We enjoyed the bicycles provided and used them to get to breakfast and the Beach Bar daily but opted for the buggy service in the evenings. If you’re looking…
We stayed 5 nights in Suite 225 which is conveniently located by the 50 metre pool🏊♂️ the bar which has excellent entertainment and the restaurant. From our transfer collection at Gan airport and transfer by speedboat across a 20 minute lagoon trip to Canareef, the assistance, care, good humour and provision of information were great. Our suite was on the sunrise side of the island which offers great privacy from the terrace because there are trees and shrubs between the suite and the beach, but the beach is only metres away. The pool is superb for swimming and sunbathing or simply reading under a shady umbrella. The wait staff in the restaurant provide bespoke service. Our table waiter had a fabulous sense of humour. He should have his own comedy show. And the bar staff at…
Four of us (adults) travelled a day and a half from the UK in November to reach Addu, the southernmost Atoll in the Maldives... and it was worth it! We gambled a little with the weather; November is the end of the rainy season, but quieter than December to April. The few rain showers we had were warm and probably prevented more sunstroke! We still saw plenty of sun, and the air was wonderfully warm throughout (29-33C, and the water was 26-29C). The staff were friendly, polite and professional, without exception. The all-inclusive buffets three times a day were wonderful and varied: always something to suit everyone, and my wife's gluten intolerance was catered for with great care. There was only one functioning restaurant for most of our trip, but I others are under renovation…
Absolute beautiful place very quiet beautiful beaches and beautiful people food was absolutely excellent staff couldn’t do more for you The only downside is it takes a long time to get to this island maybe choose a closer island to the airport. We had a sunset villa which you had your own private walkway to the beach stunning cleaned twice a day clean towels couldn’t fault it at all this is paradise
Celebrated our 40th (Ruby) Wedding Anniversary during a recent stay of the island. I initially was a little let down upon arrival to find there were only a handful of guests on the island with one restaurant and bar to visit. However, upon reflection the following day, it did afford myself and husband very relaxing days (sometimes not seeing a soul on our bit of beach or at the beach bar) until we met up at meal times with other guests. We had a jaccuzi villa which was large and comfortable. The highlight of our 11 day holiday was the dolphin cruise (happened to fall on our actual anniversary too) when we saw a couple of hundred dolphins and mother and calf blue whale, so this was amazing! Also, 6pm each evening it is a must to see the fish feeding - lots of sharks, turtle,…
We recently returned from a stay at this resort and i was really impressed with the level of service provision we received. There were a few empty restaurants but there weren't a lot of people visiting (high season). The staff were lovely (Ikleel was our delightful waiter), the food was awesome, the ambiance was exceptional. We had an issues with flies during lunch one day and the staff was great at accommodating changes to ensure we didn't have further issues - which we didn't have any more. I will say the wi-fi was a bit weak/patchy and i was unable to stream spotify or download any reading material but emails were accessible. Also appreciated the waiver in getting to snorkel on our last full day there. We were the only couple that wanted to go snorkelling and they typically…
