Four of us (adults) travelled a day and a half from the UK in November to reach Addu, the southernmost Atoll in the Maldives... and it was worth it! We gambled a little with the weather; November is the end of the rainy season, but quieter than December to April. The few rain showers we had were warm and probably prevented more sunstroke! We still saw plenty of sun, and the air was wonderfully warm throughout (29-33C, and the water was 26-29C). The staff were friendly, polite and professional, without exception. The all-inclusive buffets three times a day were wonderful and varied: always something to suit everyone, and my wife's gluten intolerance was catered for with great care. There was only one functioning restaurant for most of our trip, but I others are under renovation…

Absolute beautiful place very quiet beautiful beaches and beautiful people food was absolutely excellent staff couldn’t do more for you The only downside is it takes a long time to get to this island maybe choose a closer island to the airport. We had a sunset villa which you had your own private walkway to the beach stunning cleaned twice a day clean towels couldn’t fault it at all this is paradise

Celebrated our 40th (Ruby) Wedding Anniversary during a recent stay of the island. I initially was a little let down upon arrival to find there were only a handful of guests on the island with one restaurant and bar to visit. However, upon reflection the following day, it did afford myself and husband very relaxing days (sometimes not seeing a soul on our bit of beach or at the beach bar) until we met up at meal times with other guests. We had a jaccuzi villa which was large and comfortable. The highlight of our 11 day holiday was the dolphin cruise (happened to fall on our actual anniversary too) when we saw a couple of hundred dolphins and mother and calf blue whale, so this was amazing! Also, 6pm each evening it is a must to see the fish feeding - lots of sharks, turtle,…

We recently returned from a stay at this resort and i was really impressed with the level of service provision we received. There were a few empty restaurants but there weren't a lot of people visiting (high season). The staff were lovely (Ikleel was our delightful waiter), the food was awesome, the ambiance was exceptional. We had an issues with flies during lunch one day and the staff was great at accommodating changes to ensure we didn't have further issues - which we didn't have any more. I will say the wi-fi was a bit weak/patchy and i was unable to stream spotify or download any reading material but emails were accessible. Also appreciated the waiver in getting to snorkel on our last full day there. We were the only couple that wanted to go snorkelling and they typically…

My husband and I stayed in a sunset villa which was lovely. We were disappointed with the beach outside as the path going down to the sea was very stony which was difficult to walk over and there was a lot of large stones in the sea. One end of the island where the Dhoni bar and restaurant were was really nice but the other end going towards the beach bar had been abandoned, there were empty restaurants, these restaurants were advertised as open on the website, lots of rubble and rubbish scattered about also a lot of the villas looked abandoned as well, even if that end of the island was not in use it could have been kept tidy and cleaned up. On the plus side the staff were excellent they were all friendly and could not help us enough. It was our wedding anniversary while we…

I took my wife away for our 40th Ruby wedding anniversary. This was a surprise for her and we had such a brilliant experience, from arrival to leaving all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food of our all inclusive was exceptional considering that the resort was far from full. My wife can't eat wheat so the head chef Lakshma Welideniya made bread, two desserts every day and when on duty showed my wife what was ok for her to eat and if he was not available his staff would takeover, what brilliant service. We also had an exceptional romantic meal on our Anniversary set out in a gazebo on the beach. If you want peace, tranquility beautiful surroundings, great service, somewhere that you can explore and lovely food this is the place for you. Thanks to all the staff…

We’ve just returned from a two and half week stay in Jacuzzi Villa on all inc basis. This was our second stay and we loved the place even more than before (in 2019). The most comfortable way to reach the resort is flying Sri Lanka Airways via Colombo. They operate a daily flight to Gan Island. The Resort is located on one of the largest islands in Maldives. Unlike other hotels we’ve had a chance to visit, Canareef offers great opportunity to integrate with nature. Parts of the island are wild. There are even several lakes surrounded by bush and trees. The grounds are massive. Walking or biking to all key sites kept us fit. We easily did 7-10km each day. The gym also has great equipment. Canareef offers an unpparelled sense of privacy. The Jacuzzi Villa is of a good size…

We have just returned happy and relaxed from a10 day holiday at Canareef. If you want an immaculate and pristine 5* resort then maybe this is not for you. If you want a good value lovely resort with super friendly staff and good food then it's well worth a visit. From our arrival to our departure the staff were fantastic and more than helpful with any request. The resort was really quiet

Myself and my husband stayed here end of May. Due to covid the island has only been open a few months. We took 3 flights and a speedboat to the island. We arrived late evening and were shown to our jacuzzi room which was amazing. We had sandwiches in the room on arrival. There was a maximum of 8 guests on the island the whole time we was there. We had cycles outside our room but just called a buggy to take us where we wanted to go, it's a long island. We had a couple of massages which were amazing. Due to lack of tourists we had a la carte meals every day. The chef and his team did a fantastic job. We went on the dolphin tour also amazing. My husband did a snorkeling tour which he said was great. Staff - too many people I could mention but im rubbish with names, Hassan our…

We recently returned from a week at the Canareef Resort in the Maldives. To say it was paradise is definitely understating the fact. The trip started by being picked up at Gan airport and being whisked away on a speedboat to the island paradise which is Canareef. White sand, clear sparkling sea water and coral reefs are the first things that greet you as you arrive, followed by staff service that was warm and ultra efficient. Nothing is too much trouble and we felt instantly relaxed and welcome. The accommodation was tasteful and very comfortable with ample room and a beautiful view. The food was exquisite, prepared by a professional and passionate chief. A great selection of drinks and cocktails from the bar and plenty to do including pool and table tennis amongst other…
