We stayed over Christmas and couldn't have asked for a better stay! We booked 'Chanory' cottage for 7 nights and weren't disappointed. The cottage has everything you need along with STUNNING views!. Despite having snow during our stay, the cottage was warm and cosy and there was always plenty of hot water for a lovely long bath. My only points...

Have no idea why anyone would write a bad review about this place...WE LOVED IT. Like to visit Scotland every year and this year decided to venture a bit further north, we were not disappointed. Stayed the week after New Year as a family of 8 in the farmhouse, the owners were lovely, provided us with plenty of firewood for...

We booked The Farmhouse for a family Xmas and New Year, 6 adults, a toddler and 2 dogs. Follow the directions on the website as opposed to the satnav which will definitely take you down the wrong road. I think it would be better if the accommodation was described as comfortable and homely rather than luxurious. If you expect luxury...

Thank you for your review. I don't think we do advertise the accommodation as being luxury but as a spacious family home. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the local area. As you said the sea views from the farmhouse are stunning and the farmhouse is a treat for either couples or families and perfect for dogs with...

We had a weeks holiday from the 5th of August in the 'luxury' farm house part of the hillhockheadhead holiday cottages and we were very disappointed by the whole experience. Im very surprised by the positive reviews that have been left by others to be honest. The house was very grubby, dust, grease and stains everywhere. The decor was mismatched...

We do not visit the Tripadvisor page very often and are disappointed to see that the above guests did not enjoy their stay. The blind did have a stain on it and has since been replaced, the dishes are not chipped and do match.. Contrary to what has been said, we have a team of professional cleaners who clean the...

My wife, two grown up daughters and Border Collie stayed at Hillhockhead Holiday Cottages for the second year in succession and, just like last year, it proved to be the perfect base for our family holiday. Last year we stayed in Dolphin Cottage and this year, as we had relatives staying in that cottage, we stayed in Pines Cottage which...

We have just returned from our fourth holiday at Hillockhead Farm Cottages. We stayed in The Stables cottage which suits us perfectly. It is a cosy, charming one bedroom cottage with stunning views over the Moray Firth. Michele and Peter, the owners, have done a wonderful job of ensuring the cottage is clean, comfortable and really well equipped. Everything you...

OMG what can I say. This cottage was filthy, also the room in the attic , you couldnt.even.open the window. Also full.of.dust and.cob webs. Had to.sleep on the sofa. The washer /dryer strunk my clothes despite being on a 30 wash. The chopping board , cooking pan were still dirty. Having stripped the duvet covers off the duvets. They were...

I am writing this after our third visit annual visit to this marvelous self catering location. My wife and I stayed in "The Swallows" on the first year and "The Stables" for the last two years. These two cottages sleep 2 and form part of "Steading". The accommodation is well appointed with everything you might need, including a very well...
