Went as a family with 2 young kids (3 and 6) for dinner. This place has great character and the food was great. The owners clearly have a passion for what they do and this shines through in the menu and the amazing drinks selection. This is a whisky and beer paradise. I enjoyed a few cask real ales during...

A very charming rooms, with a great bar. Jim Anderson has hand picked over 200 Scotch whisky's of which he can tell you all the details of each. Great local Ales and many bottled beers. Great food with a Scottish flare. Off the beaten track but worth the stop.

Second visit this time with my two brothers and a friend of old, we all really enjoyed the whole experience with great food and beer and even had 3 non whisky drinkers drinking whisky. We visited Glen Ore distillery played golf and watched rugby as well as getting in a walk at Loch Ness and a pub crawl around Inverness,...

Amazing choice of food and beer which were so great we visited 2 nights in a row and loved the warm welcome. The place is full of character and suits those that appreciate something a bit different. The owner even welcomed our "needle nose" greyhound in the bar with a dog biscuit. Fabulous place.

Haven't visited The Anderson for a little while but glad we did! Starters - cream of scallop soup with a black pudding fritter which was just amazing and Welsh rarebit with smoked haddock bon bons, equally as lovely. Mains were duck breast in a raspberry sauce & chicken, ham & mushroom pie. Best most flavourful meal we've had in ages....

This place is ace. A diverse menu that you don't see often (we had a choice of Caribbean ham hough, rabbit, beef brisket and more). The starter (octopus stew) was amazing. All good value for money. Then we get onto the ales selection which was equally diverse (Happy Chappy for me) and an above average assortment of whiskies (you don't...

Really nice American inspired meal for us both. Very lovely organic Cromarty beer and lowland Bladnoch whisky from Wigtowno. We will return. Really good service from all the staff who made us very welcome.

Although myself and my partner live on the Black Isle, we'd never actually tried the Anderson for dinner - I just wish we didn't take so long to try it! We were seated in the very cosy and warm whiskey bar right next to the lovely log burning fire. The menu was extensive and definitely had something to suit everyone...

We have dined many times at The Anderson in a large family group. Finally we had the chance to dine there as a couple and stay the night, neither of us willing to designate the other as the driver! We had a beautiful meal - no surprise there - served by a very friendly and efficient waiter. We had a...

The Anderson is a supremely pleasant place to stay. Very laid back, good value, not fancy no pretensions; yet good rooms, great staff, great craic and very homely. Jim and Ann have created a unique North Isles Hotel on the Black Isle. The food is sublime, the welcome by all of the staff could not be better. And yet there...
